Château Camion – Vivier-au-Court

En 1879, Charles Camion fait construire le château Camion et ses communs, à l’est de l’usine de quincaillerie Camion. Ce château éclectique, typique des maisons de maître du 19ᵉ siècle, domine l’ensemble industriel.L’édifice, en pierre de taille, comporte un corps central à toit à longs pans et croupe en ardoise, encadré par deux ailes avancées avec toits en pavillon. Il s’élève sur deux étages carrés et un comble.

In 1879, Charles Camion commissioned the construction of Château Camion and its outbuildings, to the east of the Camion hardware factory. This eclectic château, typical of 19th-century manor houses, dominates the industrial estate. The ashlar building features a central body with a long-sloped roof and slate hipped roof, flanked by two wings with pavilion roofs. It has two square storeys and an attic.
