Amphithéâtre de Chenevières – Montbouy

Adossé à une colline dans le parc du château de Chenevières, cet amphithéâtre constitue le dernier vestige encore visible d'un grand site thermal gallo-romain. Lieu de divertissement pouvant accueillir jusqu'à 4000 personnes, il rythmait la vie de la population locale au Ve siècle.

Backing onto a hill in the grounds of the Château de Chenevières, this amphitheatre is the last remaining vestige of a major Gallo-Roman spa site. A place of entertainment able to accommodate up to 4,000 people, it was the hub of local life in the 5th century.
