ABBAYE DE MORIMOND – Parnoy-en-Bassigny

L'ancienne abbaye cistercienne de Morimond fut fondée vers 1117, selon les historiens contemporains. Son rayonnement toucha l'Allemagne, l'Italie… Quatrième fille de Cîteaux, elle avait rang de chef d'ordre. A ce titre, elle est la mère de 276 monastères dans toute l'Europe. La chapelle Sainte-Ursule (XVe s.), les vestiges de la porterie et de la bibliothèque (XVIIIe s.), de l'église (chapiteau du XIIe s.) ainsi que les étangs témoignent des grandes heures de ce site détruit à la Révolution. Il subsiste un pan de mur de l'église abbatiale (XIIe siècle) ainsi que la façade de la bibliothèque. Par ailleurs, on peut encore observer un canal en forme de U et les étangs aménagés par les moines sur le cours du Flambart. La Chapelle Sainte-Ursule ouverte les dimanches et jours fériés de 15h à 18h de juin à septembre. The ancient Cistercian abbey of Morimond was founded around 1117, according to contemporary historians. Its influence spread to Germany, Italy… The fourth daughter of Cîteaux, she was the head of the order. As such, she was the mother of 276 monasteries throughout Europe. The Sainte-Ursule chapel (15th c.), the remains of the gatehouse and library (18th c.), the church (12th c. capital) and the ponds bear witness to the heyday of this site, which was destroyed during the French Revolution. A section of the wall of the abbey church (12th century) and the façade of the library remain. A U-shaped canal and the ponds built by the monks along the Flambart can still be seen. The Chapelle Sainte-Ursule is open on Sundays and public holidays from 3 pm to 6 pm from June to September. Die ehemalige Zisterzienserabtei Morimond wurde laut zeitgenössischen Historikern um 1117 gegründet. Ihre Ausstrahlung berührte Deutschland, Italien und andere Länder. Als vierte Tochter von Cîteaux hatte sie den Rang eines Ordensoberhaupts. In dieser Eigenschaft ist sie die Mutter von 276 Klöstern in ganz Europa. Die Kapelle Sainte-Ursule (15. Jh.), die Überreste des Pförtnerhauses und der Bibliothek (18. Jh.), der Kirche (Kapitell aus dem 12. Jh.) sowie die Teiche zeugen von den großen Zeiten dieses Ortes, der während der Revolution zerstört wurde. Von der Abteikirche (12. Jh.) ist noch ein Teil der Mauer erhalten, ebenso wie die Fassade der Bibliothek. Außerdem sind noch ein U-förmiger Kanal und die von den Mönchen angelegten Teiche am Flusslauf des Flambart zu sehen. Die Kapelle Sainte-Ursule ist von Juni bis September an Sonn- und Feiertagen von 15:00 bis 18:00 Uhr geöffnet. De oude cisterciënzerabdij van Morimond werd volgens hedendaagse historici rond 1117 gesticht. Haar invloed verspreidde zich naar Duitsland, Italië… Zij was de vierde dochter van Cîteaux en had de rang van hoofd van de orde. Als zodanig is ze de moeder van 276 kloosters in heel Europa. De kapel Sainte-Ursule (15e eeuw), de overblijfselen van het poortgebouw en de bibliotheek (18e eeuw), de kerk (kapiteel uit de 12e eeuw) en de vijvers getuigen van de bloeitijd van deze plek, die tijdens de Franse Revolutie werd verwoest. Een deel van de muur van de abdijkerk (12e eeuw) en de gevel van de bibliotheek zijn bewaard gebleven. Een U-vormig kanaal en de door de monniken aangelegde vijvers langs de Flambart zijn nog steeds te zien. La cappella Sainte-Ursule (XV secolo), i resti della portineria e della biblioteca (XVIII secolo), la chiesa (capitale del XII secolo) e gli stagni testimoniano il periodo di massimo splendore di questo sito, distrutto durante la Rivoluzione francese. Rimangono una parte del muro della chiesa abbaziale (XII secolo) e la facciata della biblioteca. Sono ancora visibili il canale a U e gli stagni costruiti dai monaci lungo il Flambart.
