Au début, il y a eu l’eau, la mer, puis petit à petit : la vie. Deux étranges plongeuses partent en exploration dans les eaux profondes. Dans cette plongée, elles font la rencontre d’une drôle de créature qui n’a pas de forme définie, qui va se transformer, se métamorphoser et prendre différentes apparences, grandir jusqu’à ce qu’elle soit prête à sortir de sa coquille. Au Fond des Mers établit un parallèle entre le monde aquatique et le monde intra-utérin, en théâtre d’ombres, jeux de lumières, marionnettes, mouvements et chorésigne. Am Anfang war das Wasser, das Meer, und dann nach und nach: das Leben. Zwei seltsame Taucherinnen begeben sich auf eine Entdeckungsreise in die Tiefsee.
