Scapin ne recule devant rien. Ni les histoires improbables, ni les menaces, ni les coups de bâton, aucune combine, aucune farce, rien ne l’effraie, tout est bon pour ébranler « les cœurs pusillanimes qui, pour trop prévoir les suites des choses, n’osent rien entreprendre ». Pour servir ses besoins de bon vivant, de farceur et d’éternel enthousiaste d’abord, mais aussi les intérêts de deux jeunes hommes, emberlificotés dans des complications amoureuses, et embarrassés de pères autoritaires et radins. Scapin règne, au centre du cyclone qu’il fait naître, où tourbillonnent des amants au désespoir, des parents rageurs, des personnages tout droit sortis de son imagination bondissante, et une pincée de happy end, à la Molière. Scapin stops at nothing. Neither improbable stories, nor threats, nor blows of the stick, no trick, no joke, nothing frightens him, everything is good for shaking "pusillanimous hearts which, for too much foreseeing the consequences of things, dare not undertake anything". To serve his needs as a bon vivant, a prankster and an eternal enthusiast, first and foremost, but also the interests of two young men, entangled in romantic complications, and embarrassed by overbearing, stingy fathers. Scapin reigns, at the center of the cyclone he creates, swirling with desperate lovers, enraged parents, characters straight out of his boundless imagination, and a pinch of Molière?s happy ending. Scapin schreckt vor nichts zurück. Er lässt sich von nichts abschrecken und ist bereit, "die kleinmütigen Herzen zu erschüttern, die, weil sie die Folgen der Dinge zu sehr voraussehen, nichts zu unternehmen wagen". Aber auch die Interessen zweier junger Männer, die in Liebesverwicklungen verstrickt sind und von ihren autoritären und geizigen Vätern in Verlegenheit gebracht werden. Scapin regiert, im Zentrum des Wirbelsturms, den er entstehen lässt, in dem verzweifelte Liebhaber, wütende Eltern, Figuren, die seiner sprunghaften Fantasie entsprungen sind, und eine Prise Happy End à la Molière herumwirbeln. Scapin stopt voor niets. Noch onwaarschijnlijke verhalen, noch bedreigingen, noch stokslagen, geen truc, geen grap, niets boezemt hem angst in, alles is goed om "zwakzinnige mensen die, omdat ze te veel voorzien wat er zal gebeuren, niets durven ondernemen" wakker te schudden. Om zijn behoeften als levensgenieter, grappenmaker en eeuwige liefhebber te dienen, in de eerste plaats, maar ook de belangen van twee jonge mannen, verstrikt in romantische verwikkelingen en in verlegenheid gebracht door autoritaire, gierige vaders. Scapin regeert, in het centrum van de cycloon die hij creëert, waar geliefden in wanhoop, woedende ouders, personages rechtstreeks uit zijn grenzeloze verbeelding, en een snufje happy end, à la Molière, ronddwarrelen. Scapin no se detiene ante nada. Ni historias inverosímiles, ni amenazas, ni golpes de palo, ni truco, ni broma, nada le asusta, todo vale para sacudir a "los pusilánimes que, por prever demasiado lo que va a pasar, no se atreven a emprender nada". Para servir a sus necesidades de bon vivant, de bromista y de eterno entusiasta, ante todo, pero también a los intereses de dos jóvenes, enredados en complicaciones amorosas y avergonzados por padres autoritarios y tacaños. Scapin reina, en el centro del ciclón que crea, donde se arremolinan amantes desesperados, padres furiosos, personajes salidos directamente de su desbordante imaginación y una pizca de final feliz, a lo Molière. Né storie improbabili, né minacce, né colpi di bastone, né trucchi, né scherzi, nulla lo spaventa, tutto è buono per scuotere "i deboli di cuore che, prevedendo troppo quello che accadrà, non osano intraprendere nulla". Per servire le sue esigenze di bon vivant, di burlone e di eterno appassionato, innanzitutto, ma anche gli interessi di due giovani uomini, invischiati in complicazioni sentimentali e imbarazzati da padri autoritari e avari. Scapin regna, al centro del ciclone da lui creato, dove turbinano amanti disperati, genitori furiosi, personaggi usciti dalla sua sconfinata fantasia e un pizzico di lieto fine, alla Molière.
