Molière est de retour à Villers-Cotterêts ! En 1645 la troupe de Jean-Baptiste Poquelin alias Molière, quitte Paris pour la Province : avec sa troupe de l’illustre théâtre, il sillonne les routes de France avec leurs modestes tréteaux. Ils parviennent même jusqu’à Villers-Cotterêts pour y jouer, au château en 1664, leur (désormais) célèbre Tartuffe ! 360 ans plus tard, les cinq comédiennes de la compagnie Les Estivant s’amusent à raconter le récit rocambolesque de la vie de Molière, installées dans le Jardin de la Reine. Alternant anecdotes, digressions et anachronismes, elles célèbrent joyeusement le théâtre de tréteaux tout en faisant des ponts avec leur propre histoire. Quand a véritablement eu lieu l’âge d’or de Molière et de ses compagnons : dans l’instabilité des jeunes années ou dans le confort des dernières ? Conscients que cette histoire a déjà été racontée cent fois (Boulgakov, Alfred Simon, Ariane Mnouchkine…), les Estivants prennent la liberté de raconter la vie de Monsieur de Molière selon leur propre représentation du théâtre de l’époque. « Avec La saga de Molière, nous convions le public autour de nos tréteaux dans un dispositif tri-frontal et créons un petit théâtre brut essentiel et pauvre à l’intérieur du théâtre même, volumineux et imposant. Molière kehrt nach Villers-Cotterêts zurück! 1645 verließ die Truppe von Jean-Baptiste Poquelin alias Molière Paris und zog in die Provinz: Mit seiner Truppe des berühmten Theaters zog er mit ihren bescheidenen Böcken durch die Straßen Frankreichs. Sie schafften es sogar bis nach Villers-Cotterêts, um dort 1664 im Schloss ihren (mittlerweile) berühmten Tartuffe aufzuführen! 360 Jahre später erzählen die fünf Schauspielerinnen der Theatergruppe Les Estivant im Jardin de la Reine die unglaubliche Geschichte von Molières Leben. Mit abwechselnden Anekdoten, Abschweifungen und Anachronismen feiern sie das Bocktheater und schlagen gleichzeitig Brücken zu ihrer eigenen Geschichte. Wann war das goldene Zeitalter von Molière und seinen Mitstreitern wirklich: in der Unbeständigkeit der jungen Jahre oder in der Behaglichkeit der späteren Jahre? Ze kwamen zelfs tot Villers-Cotterêts om daar in 1664 hun (nu) beroemde Tartuffe op het kasteel op te voeren! 360 jaar later vertellen de vijf actrices van Les Estivant met veel plezier het ongelooflijke levensverhaal van Molière in de tuin van de koningin.
