On en aura encore un exemple éclatant avec le jeune trio formé par les talentueux frères Castro-Balbi et le formidable pianiste qu’est Lucas Debargue. En ouverture de programme, la Melancholia de Karol Beffa (2023) confirmera la jolie palette de couleurs et le sens des ambiances rares dont sait user le compositeur : les répétitions insistantes et les boucles giratoires entraînent, comme chez Steve Reich, un effet quasi-hypnotique. Par ce kaléidoscope d’harmonies fluctuantes, j’ai cherché à suggérer une chorégraphie imaginaire. (K. Beffa). Beethoven l’appelait « ma petite symphonie » … Ce qui signifiait surtout qu’il chérissait particulièrement cette Symphonie n°8 qui, lors de sa première audition en 1814, avait reçu un accueil plutôt tiède. A vrai dire, en contraste avec la grandiose Septième Symphonie, l’œuvre démontre d’abord l’imprévisible cheminement créateur du maître. Beethoven change soudain de régime avec un certain « retour à Haydn » dans les trois premiers mouvements. Sans y oublier le côté « farceur » de ce dernier dans l’Allegretto Scherzando (une imitation du tic-tac du métronome). On aurait toutefois tort de ne considérer les innovations de la 8e symphonie sous le seul aspect d’un néoclassicisme avant la lettre. Ainsi que le montre le magistral et foudroyant Allegro vivace, sans aucun doute le plus extraordinaire de tous les Finale purement symphoniques de Beethoven. Das junge Trio der talentierten Castro-Balbi-Brüder und des hervorragenden Pianisten Lucas Debargue ist ein weiteres Beispiel dafür. Im Gegensatz zur grandiosen Siebten Symphonie zeigt das Werk in erster Linie den unvorhersehbaren kreativen Weg des Meisters. In den ersten drei Sätzen wechselt Beethoven plötzlich das Regime mit einer gewissen "Rückkehr zu Haydn". Im Allegretto Scherzando (eine Nachahmung des tickenden Metronoms) wird die "scherzhafte" Seite des Komponisten nicht vergessen. Es wäre jedoch falsch, die Innovationen der 8. Symphonie nur unter dem Aspekt des Neoklassizismus avant la lettre zu betrachten. Het jonge trio gevormd door de getalenteerde Castro-Balbi broers en de formidabele pianist Lucas Debargue is een ander oogverblindend voorbeeld.
