Exposition participative – Marina Abramovic, Looking at Colors – 13-12-2025 – Metz

Devant l'engouement suscité cette année par la présentation de Counting the Rice au sein du Paper Tube Studio (PTS), le Centre Pompidou-Metz renouvelle son invitation à Marina Abramovic dans un cyclé dédié à son travail, en trois ateliers exceptionnels. Dans ce cadre, l’artiste présente Looking at Colors. Par cette action participative, l’œuvre se construit à travers l’endurance du visiteur. Assis immobile face à un panneau de couleur primaire – rouge, bleu ou jaune –, celui-ci est invité à y plonger son regard et à laisser vaguer son esprit au fil des associations subjectives que la couleur lui évoque – une invitation méditative, qui convoque attention, rigueur et écoute de soi. Convié à s’engager dans un cheminement émotionnel privilégié, chacun peut expérimenter l’art comme un outil de concentration, d’introspection et de transformation. L'artiste proposera une troisième exposition participative du 9 mai au 23 novembre 2026.

Following the success of this year's presentation of Counting the Rice in the Paper Tube Studio (PTS), the Centre Pompidou-Metz is renewing its invitation to Marina Abramovic in a cycle dedicated to her work, with three exceptional workshops. In this context, the artist presents Looking at Colors. In this participatory action, the work is constructed through the endurance of the visitor. Sitting motionless in front of a primary color panel – red, blue or yellow – visitors are invited to plunge their gaze into it and let their minds wander through the subjective associations that the color evokes? a meditative invitation that calls for attention, rigor and listening to oneself. Invited to embark on a privileged emotional journey, everyone can experience art as a tool for concentration, introspection and transformation. The artist will present a third participatory exhibition from May 9 to November 23, 2026.

Angesichts der Begeisterung, die die Präsentation von Counting the Rice im Paper Tube Studio (PTS) in diesem Jahr hervorgerufen hat, erneuert das Centre Pompidou-Metz seine Einladung an Marina Abramovic in einem ihrer Arbeit gewidmeten Cyclé in drei außergewöhnlichen Workshops. In diesem Rahmen präsentiert die Künstlerin Looking at Colors. In dieser partizipativen Aktion wird das Werk durch die Ausdauer des Besuchers aufgebaut. Der Besucher sitzt regungslos vor einer Tafel mit einer Grundfarbe (rot, blau oder gelb) und wird aufgefordert, seinen Blick darauf zu richten und seinen Geist durch die subjektiven Assoziationen, die die Farbe bei ihm hervorruft, schweifen zu lassen ? eine meditative Einladung, die Aufmerksamkeit, Strenge und Selbstbeobachtung erfordert. Jeder kann die Kunst als ein Werkzeug der Konzentration, der Introspektion und der Transformation erfahren. Der Künstler wird vom 9. Mai bis zum 23. November 2026 eine dritte partizipative Ausstellung veranstalten.

Na het succes van de presentatie van Counting the Rice dit jaar in de Paper Tube Studio (PTS), nodigt het Centre Pompidou-Metz Marina Abramovic opnieuw uit om deel te nemen aan een cyclus gewijd aan haar werk, met drie uitzonderlijke workshops. Als onderdeel van het programma presenteert de kunstenaar Looking at Colors. In deze participatieve actie wordt het werk opgebouwd door het uithoudingsvermogen van de bezoeker. Bewegingsloos zittend voor een paneel met een primaire kleur – rood, blauw of geel – worden bezoekers uitgenodigd om hun blik erin te werpen en hun geest te laten dwalen door de subjectieve associaties die de kleur oproept? Een meditatieve uitnodiging die oproept tot aandacht, nauwgezetheid en luisteren naar zichzelf. Uitgenodigd om een geprivilegieerde emotionele reis te maken, kan iedereen kunst ervaren als een instrument voor concentratie, introspectie en transformatie. De kunstenaar presenteert een derde participatieve tentoonstelling van 9 mei tot 23 november 2026.

Tras el éxito de la presentación este año de Contar el arroz en el Estudio del Tubo de Papel (PTS), el Centro Pompidou-Metz renueva su invitación a Marina Abramovic para participar en un ciclo dedicado a su obra, con tres talleres excepcionales. En el marco de este programa, la artista presenta Looking at Colors. En esta acción participativa, la obra se construye a través de la resistencia del visitante. Sentado e inmóvil frente a un panel de un color primario -rojo, azul o amarillo-, el visitante es invitado a sumergir su mirada en él y dejar que su mente divague a través de las asociaciones subjetivas que el color evoca… una invitación meditativa que reclama atención, rigor y escucha de uno mismo. Invitados a embarcarse en un viaje emocional privilegiado, todos pueden experimentar el arte como herramienta de concentración, introspección y transformación. El artista presentará una tercera exposición participativa del 9 de mayo al 23 de noviembre de 2026.

Dopo il successo della presentazione di quest'anno di Counting the Rice nel Paper Tube Studio (PTS), il Centre Pompidou-Metz rinnova l'invito a Marina Abramovic a partecipare a un ciclo dedicato alla sua opera, con tre workshop eccezionali. Nell'ambito del programma, l'artista presenta Looking at Colors. In questa azione partecipativa, l'opera è costruita attraverso la resistenza del visitatore. Seduto immobile davanti a un pannello di un colore primario – rosso, blu o giallo – il visitatore è invitato a immergervi lo sguardo e a lasciare che la sua mente vaghi tra le associazioni soggettive che il colore evoca? Un invito meditativo che richiede attenzione, rigore e ascolto di sé. Invitati a intraprendere un viaggio emozionale privilegiato, tutti possono sperimentare l'arte come strumento di concentrazione, introspezione e trasformazione. L'artista presenterà una terza mostra partecipativa dal 9 maggio al 23 novembre 2026.
