Exposition à Pénanault : "Coline Colline" – 14-05-2025 – Morlaix

Premier pays de Bretagne à obtenir le label « Pays d’art et d’histoire » en 2006, ce territoire à la situation géographique exceptionnelle dispose d’un type de document historique d’importance : la carte. Entre outil de connaissance du monde et objet esthétique, la carte est à la fois une archive historique à valeur scientifique et le support de récits plus subjectifs. Dans cette exposition consacrée aux images cartographiques du Pays de Morlaix, l’artiste Coline Colline prend, comme point de départ, les qualités graphiques et le pouvoir d’évocation de cette forme d’archives. A partir d’une sélection de documents allant du XVIIIe au XXe siècle, qu’elle décore à l’aquarelle et à l’encre de Chine, elle propose une promenade dans les archives du Pays de Morlaix, de la côte jusqu’à l’arrière-pays. Occasion de revenir sur les contours d’un pays où le patrimoine se partage entre la terre et la mer, se distribue entre ports, îles, châteaux et manufactures : un pays d’art, d’histoires et de cartes.

The first region in Brittany to be awarded the "Pays d?art et d?histoire" label in 2006, this territory with its exceptional geographical location boasts an important type of historical document: the map. Part tool for understanding the world, part aesthetic object, the map is both a historical archive of scientific value and a medium for more subjective narratives. In this exhibition devoted to cartographic images of the Pays de Morlaix region, artist Coline Colline takes as her starting point the graphic qualities and evocative power of this form of archive of the archive. Using a selection of documents from the 18th to the 20th century, which she decorates in watercolor and Chinese ink, she takes us on a walk through the history of the region From the coast to the hinterland. In dieser Ausstellung über kartografische Bilder aus dem Pays de Morlaix nimmt die Künstlerin Coline Colline die grafischen Qualitäten und die evokative Kraft dieser Form als Ausgangspunkt archivmaterials zugrunde. Ausgehend von einer Auswahl an Dokumenten aus dem 18. bis 20. Jahrhundert, die sie mit Aquarell und Tusche verziert, entwirft sie eine Karteikarte Jahrhundert mit Tusche und Aquarell bearbeitet, schlägt sie einen Spaziergang durch die Archive des Pays de Morlaix vor, von der Küste bis ins Hinterland. Eine Gelegenheit, die Umrisse eines Landes zu betrachten, in dem das Kulturerbe zwischen Land und Meer, zwischen Häfen, Inseln, Schlössern und Manufakturen aufgeteilt ist: ein Land der Kunst, der Geschichten und der Karten.
