René Tessier vient vous présenter lors d'une conférence l'aventure industrielle de Peugeot, une histoire riche de plus de 200 ans. L’automobile n’est pas un bien de consommation comme les autres. En effet nous achetons un réfrigérateur ou un téléviseur avec l’objectif d’obtenir un bon rapport prix-prestations mais pour une voiture, selon les acquéreurs, nous cherchons quelque chose en plus, qui englobe l’esthétique, le bien-être, voire la performance sportive et parfois la valorisation de son propriétaire. L’automobile à Mulhouse ce n’est pas banal, c’est une aventure industrielle qui dure depuis 60 ans (usine de Boîtes de vitesses en 1962) et qui a concerné au cumul des dizaines de milliers de salariés et plus d’une centaine de milliers de personnes si on considère les familles des précédents et les salariés de l’économie environnante. L’aventure Peugeot a commencé dans le Pays de Montbéliard, il y a plus de deux cent ans. Elle a porté tout d’abord sur la fabrication d’outillages et de multiples biens de consommation ,avant de participer aux débuts de l’Histoire de l’automobile. Le point sans doute le plus remarquable, est que cette aventure industrielle est attachée à l’histoire d’une famille sur plus de 8 générations depuis 1810. In a talk, René Tessier presents the industrial adventure of Peugeot, a story that spans more than 200 years. The automobile is not a consumer good like any other. We buy a refrigerator or a TV set with the aim of obtaining a good price-performance ratio, but for a car, depending on the buyer, we're looking for something extra, encompassing aesthetics, well-being, even sporting performance, and sometimes the enhancement of its owner. The automotive industry in Mulhouse is no ordinary affair. It's an industrial adventure that has been going on for 60 years (the gearbox factory opened in 1962), and has involved tens of thousands of employees and more than a hundred thousand people if we consider the families of the previous owners and the employees of the surrounding economy. The Peugeot adventure began in the Montbéliard region over two hundred years ago. It began with the manufacture of tools and a wide range of consumer goods, before taking part in the beginnings of the automobile. Perhaps the most remarkable aspect of this industrial adventure is that it has been a family affair spanning more than 8 generations since 1810. This is an exception in the industrial world. The future will tell whether the Peugeot family will still have a role to play. A refreshment bar will be open during the evening to quench your thirst.

Beim Kauf eines Kühlschranks oder eines Fernsehers achten wir auf ein gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis, aber bei einem Auto suchen wir je nach Käufer nach etwas mehr, das Ästhetik, Wohlbefinden, sportliche Leistung und manchmal auch die Aufwertung des Besitzers umfasst. Die Automobilindustrie in Mulhouse ist nicht banal, sondern ein industrielles Abenteuer, das seit 60 Jahren andauert (Getriebefabrik 1962) und insgesamt Zehntausende von Arbeitnehmern und mehr als Hunderttausend Menschen beschäftigt hat, wenn man die Familien der Vorgänger und die Beschäftigten der umliegenden Wirtschaft mit einbezieht. Das Abenteuer Peugeot begann vor mehr als 200 Jahren im Pays de Montbéliard. Es begann mit der Herstellung von Werkzeugen und Konsumgütern, bevor es in die Geschichte des Automobils einging. Wanneer we een koelkast of een televisietoestel kopen, willen we waar voor ons geld, maar wanneer we een auto kopen, afhankelijk van wie we kopen, zijn we op zoek naar iets meer, iets dat esthetiek, welzijn, zelfs sportieve prestaties en soms de eigenwaarde van de eigenaar omvat. De auto-industrie in Mulhouse is geen gewone business: het is een industrieel avontuur dat al 60 jaar duurt (de versnellingsbakfabriek werd in 1962 geopend) en waarbij tienduizenden werknemers betrokken zijn en meer dan honderdduizend mensen als we de families van de vorige eigenaars en de werknemers van de omliggende economie meerekenen. Het avontuur van Peugeot begon meer dan tweehonderd jaar geleden in de streek van Montbéliard. Het begon met de productie van gereedschap en een breed assortiment consumptiegoederen, voordat het bijdroeg aan het begin van de auto. Cuando compramos un frigorífico o un televisor, nuestro objetivo es obtener una buena relación calidad-precio, pero cuando compramos un coche, según quién lo compre, buscamos algo más, algo que englobe la estética, el bienestar, incluso las prestaciones deportivas y, a veces, la autoestima de su propietario. La industria automovilística de Mulhouse no es un negocio cualquiera. Es una aventura industrial que dura ya 60 años (la fábrica de cajas de cambio se inauguró en 1962) y en la que han participado decenas de miles de empleados y más de cien mil personas si tenemos en cuenta a las familias de los anteriores propietarios y a los empleados de la economía circundante. La aventura Peugeot comenzó en la región de Montbéliard hace más de doscientos años. Comenzó con la fabricación de herramientas y una amplia gama de bienes de consumo, antes de contribuir a los inicios del automóvil. Lo más destacable, sin duda, es que esta aventura industrial ha estado ligada a la historia de una familia que abarca más de 8 generaciones desde 1810. Quando compriamo un frigorifero o un televisore, il nostro obiettivo è ottenere un buon rapporto qualità-prezzo, ma quando compriamo un'automobile, a seconda di chi la compra, cerchiamo qualcosa di più, qualcosa che comprenda l'estetica, il benessere, persino le prestazioni sportive, e talvolta l'autostima del suo proprietario. L'industria automobilistica di Mulhouse non è un'attività ordinaria: è un'avventura industriale che dura da 60 anni (la fabbrica di cambi è stata inaugurata nel 1962) e che ha coinvolto decine di migliaia di dipendenti e più di centomila persone se si considerano le famiglie dei precedenti proprietari e i dipendenti dell'economia circostante.
