Bienvenue dans les bayous de Louisiane, les marais de Géorgie, les landes irlandais et les collines du Tennessee. The Happy Go Lucky Band c'est un peu tout ça. La country music débarrassée de ses éléments par trop folkoriques (vous ne viendrez pas nous voir pour la danse en ligne et les chapeaux de cow-boy, oh non …) mais on respecte la sainte trinité du genre : les trains, la prison et les murder ballads. Un traitement plus rock'n'roll (rien d'étonnant avec un Phil ex-Burning Heads d'un côté et un autre Phil, celui du Twangy & Tom Trio de l'autre). Suzanne à la basse est plus novice mais elle se cale parfaitement sur la batterie du Captain (Key largo, KTB…) et surtout, tout le monde chante et harmonise.

Welcome to the bayons of Louisiana, the swamps of Georgia, the Irish moors and the hills of Tennessee. The Happy Go Lucky Band is a bit of all that. Country music stripped of its overly folkloric elements (you won't come to us for line dancing and cowboy hats, oh no …) but we respect the holy trinity of the genre: trains, prison and murder ballads. A more rock'n'roll treatment (not surprising with an ex-Burning Heads Phil on one side and another Phil, from the Twangy & Tom Trio, on the other). Suzanne on bass is more of a novice, but she fits in perfectly with the Captain's drums (Key largo, KTB…) and, above all, everyone sings and harmonizes. Johnny Cash is, of course, the master of ceremonies, but so are the Everly Brothers, the St. Johns and the St. Johns
