« Gratiferia » est un néologisme espagnol qui signifie littéralement « foire gratuite ». Il pourrait être traduit en français par « gratifoire », mais les francophones utilisent généralement le terme espagnol ou la traduction française la plus répandue : marché gratuit. Le concept de marché gratuit nous vient d’Amérique Latine, et plus précisément de Buenos Aires. L’idée, initiée dès 2010 par Ariel Bosio, a rencontré un succès grandissant, d’abord localement, puis à l’étranger. Déjà fort populaire dans certains milieux alternatifs, la gratuité n’est certes pas une idée nouvelle. Cependant, la multiplication d’initiatives comme les gratiferias témoigne d’un intérêt croissant de la part de la population. Les participants peuvent se servir librement sans contrepartie. Contrairement à celui du troc, le système de la gratiféria ne repose donc pas sur l'échange matériel. Chacun peut s'approprier ce qu'il souhaite sans réciprocité systématique. "Gratiferia" is a Spanish neologism that literally means "free fair". It could be translated into French as "gratifoire", but French speakers generally use the Spanish term or the more common French translation: marché gratuit. The concept of the free market comes to us from Latin America, and more specifically from Buenos Aires. The idea, initiated in 2010 by Ariel Bosio, has met with growing success, first locally and then abroad. Already very popular in certain alternative circles, free access is certainly not a new idea. However, the proliferation of initiatives such as gratiferias bears witness to a growing interest on the part of the general public. Participants are free to help themselves to anything they want, with no strings attached. Unlike bartering, the gratiferia system is not based on material exchange. Everyone can take what they want without systematic reciprocity. Das Konzept des Gratismarkts stammt aus Lateinamerika, genauer gesagt aus Buenos Aires. Die Idee wurde bereits 2010 von Ariel Bosio initiiert und fand zunächst vor Ort und später auch im Ausland immer mehr Anklang. Kostenlose Angebote sind in einigen alternativen Kreisen bereits sehr beliebt und keine neue Idee. Het concept van de vrije markt komt naar ons uit Latijns-Amerika, en meer specifiek uit Buenos Aires. Het idee, in 2010 gelanceerd door Ariel Bosio, kent een groeiend succes, eerst lokaal en daarna in het buitenland. Gratis parkeren, dat al erg populair is in bepaalde alternatieve kringen, is zeker geen nieuw idee. De toename van initiatieven zoals gratiferias getuigt echter van een groeiende interesse van het grote publiek. Deelnemers mogen alles pakken wat ze willen, zonder verplichtingen. In tegenstelling tot ruilhandel is het gratiferia-systeem niet gebaseerd op materiële ruil. Iedereen kan nemen wat hij wil zonder systematische wederkerigheid. Ya muy popular en ciertos círculos alternativos, el aparcamiento gratuito no es ciertamente una idea nueva. Los participantes son libres de servirse lo que quieran, sin condiciones. A diferencia del trueque, el sistema de las gratiferias no se basa en el intercambio material. Cada uno puede coger lo que quiera sin reciprocidad sistemática.
