Au travers de 16 photographies grands formats installées à la Casseline, l'exposition BOCAGE est une invitation à la rêverie poétique dans un territoire autrefois nommé Houtland, ce qui signifie pays du bois. Flandre, qu'as tu fais de ton bocage ? A l'heure critique pour l'humanité de l'effondrement de la biodiversité, du réchauffement climatique, des sècheresses, comme des inondations, le Bocage, là où il existe encore, a démontré des capacités de résilience précieuses pour l'agriculture, la gestion des eaux, la protection face aux canicules, la richesse de sa biodiversité, y compris pour la vie de sols. L'exposition BOCAGE vous partage des fragments d'Houtland photographiés depuis Cassel et révélés par les brumes comme des émotions brutes. Autant de fragments de rêveries qui invitent à se raconter des histoires bocagères au fil du temps, des saisons, pour un voyage imaginaire en cœur de Flandre.

Through 16 large-format photographs installed at La Casseline, the BOCAGE exhibition is an invitation to poetic reverie in a land once known as Houtland, meaning woodland. Flandre, what have you done with your bocage? At a critical time for humanity, with the collapse of biodiversity, global warming, droughts and floods, the Bocage, where it still exists, has demonstrated invaluable resilience for agriculture, water management, protection against heatwaves, and the richness of its biodiversity, including for soil life. The BOCAGE exhibition shares with you fragments of Houtland photographed from Cassel and revealed by the mists as raw emotions. Fragments of daydreams, inviting us to tell ourselves stories of the hedgerows over time and through the seasons, for an imaginary journey to the heart of Flanders.

Anhand von 16 großformatigen Fotografien, die in der Casseline installiert wurden, ist die Ausstellung BOCAGE eine Einladung zu poetischen Träumereien in einem Gebiet, das früher Houtland genannt wurde, was so viel wie Land des Waldes bedeutet. Flandern, was hast du aus deiner Bocage gemacht? In einer für die Menschheit kritischen Zeit des Zusammenbruchs der Artenvielfalt, der Klimaerwärmung, von Dürren und Überschwemmungen hat die Bocage, wo sie noch existiert, wertvolle Resilienzkapazitäten für die Landwirtschaft, die Wasserwirtschaft, den Schutz vor Hitzewellen und den Reichtum ihrer Biodiversität, einschließlich des Bodenlebens, bewiesen. Die Ausstellung BOCAGE zeigt Ihnen Fragmente des Houtland, die von Kassel aus fotografiert wurden und durch den Nebel wie rohe Emotionen wirken. Es sind Fragmente von Träumereien, die dazu einladen, sich im Laufe der Zeit und der Jahreszeiten Geschichten über das Haingebiet zu erzählen und sich auf eine imaginäre Reise ins Herz von Flandern zu begeben.

Met 16 foto's op groot formaat in La Casseline is de tentoonstelling BOCAGE een uitnodiging tot poëtische mijmering in een gebied dat vroeger Houtland heette, wat bos betekent. Vlaanderen, wat heb je gedaan met je bocage? In een kritieke tijd voor de mensheid, met de ineenstorting van de biodiversiteit, de opwarming van de aarde, droogtes en overstromingen, heeft de Bocage, waar hij nog bestaat, aangetoond over een onschatbare veerkracht te beschikken voor landbouw, waterbeheer, bescherming tegen hittegolven en de rijkdom van zijn biodiversiteit, ook voor het bodemleven. De tentoonstelling BOCAGE deelt met u fragmenten van Houtland gefotografeerd vanuit Cassel en onthuld door de nevels als rauwe emoties. Fragmenten van dagdromen die ons uitnodigen om onszelf verhalen te vertellen over de houtwallen door de tijd en door de seizoenen heen, op een denkbeeldige reis naar het hart van Vlaanderen.
