Domaine de Mortiès – Saint-Jean-de-Cuculles

Le domaine de Mortiès est une exploitation viticole en appellation Pic Saint Loup qui produit 50 000 cols en rouge, rosé et blanc. Le domaine se trouve sur le versant sud du Pic Saint-Loup sur la commune de Saint Jean de Cuculles. Il est composé de 14ha de vignes, le tout dans un cercle de nature de 85ha de forêt. Autour d'un Mas du XVIIIème siècle et de sa cave, le vignoble est conduit en agriculture biologique et pratique la biodynamie sur l’intégralité du vignoble. Le domaine produit des vins d'un grand équilibre et d'une élégance qui exprime le caractère unique d'un terroir exceptionnel constitué principalement de marnes et de calcaire. Le petit plus éco-responsable : les animaux ont aussi trouvé leur place sur l'exploitation, avec la présence de vache Highland en écopâturage toute l'année.

The domaine is situated on the south slope of the Pic Saint Loup in the municipality of Saint Jean de Cuculles, consisting of 12ha of production vines and 5ha of future plantations, all within a nature circle of 85ha of forest. Around an 18th-century Mas and its cellar, the vineyard is conducted in organic farming and practices biodynamics throughout the entire vineyard. The domaine produces wines of great balance and elegance that express the unique character of an exceptional terroir mainly composed of marl and limestone.
