Les cieux de la baie de Somme sont marqués de l’œuvre de deux illustres personnages, Gaston et René Caudron. Ces deux hommes sont à l’origine de l’aviation civile et militaire. Natifs de Favières, à la fin du XIXéme siécle, ils effectuent leur premier vol entre Ponthoile et Forest-Montiers en 1909. Dès 1910, ils implantent leurs ateliers à Rue puis la première école d’aviation civile au Crotoy.
