Itinéraire vélo n°9 – Le val d'Anglin par Château Guillaume – Bélâbre

L'itinéraire passe par un paysage varié composé de bois, de prairies, de cultures, d'étangs et de bocages. Sans être difficile, le circuit suit les courbes du relief qui rappellent que les contreforts du Massif Central ne sont pas loin. Le paysage est aussi marqué par la vallée de l'Anglin et les nombreux châteaux, moulins et maisons en grès blond ou calcaire qui bordent son cours. L' élevage ovin y est très présent. Un arrêt s'impose à Château Guillaume pour découvrir cet étonnant édifice qui semble remonter au Moyen Age avec ses mâchicoulis, ses meurtrières, ses créneaux…..

You'll make your way through a mosaic of woodland, meadows, fields of crops, ponds and farmland with hedges. While in no way challenging, the trail does climb the hillsides that remind us that the foothills of the Massif Central are not all that far off! The landscape is also marked by the Anglin valley and myriad châteaux, mills and houses in limestone or blond sandstone nestling within. You'll see how important sheep farming is here. Make a point of stopping off at Château Guillaume – an astonishing castle right out of the Middle Ages with its machicolations, arrow slit windows and crenels…

Die Strecke führt durch abwechslungsreiche Landschaften mit Wäldern, Wiesen, Feldern, Seen und Bocage. Sie ist zwar nicht schwierig, folgt aber den Krümmungen des Reliefs, was bedeutet, dass die Ausläufer des Massif Central nicht weit entfernt sind. Die Landschaft ist außerdem geprägt durch das Tal des Anglin und die vielen Schlösser, Mühlen und Häuser aus weißem Sandstein oder Kalkstein. Hier herrscht die Schafzucht vor. Ein Halt im Schloss Guillaume wird zur Erkundung dieses erstaunlichen Gebäudes empfohlen, das mit seinen Pechnasen, Schießscharten, Zinnen… auf das Mittelalter zurückzugehen scheint.

De route loopt door een gevarieerd landschap bestaande uit bossen, weiden, akkers, meren en coulisselandschappen. De tocht loopt, zonder echt moeilijk te worden, over de heuvels, die feitelijk al uitlopers van het Centraal Plateau zijn. Het landschap wordt ook bepaald door het dal van de Anglin en de talrijke kastelen, molens en huizen van lichte kalksteen en kalkzandsteen langs de oevers. Hier worden veel schapen gehouden. U moet absoluut stoppen bij het Château Guillaume om dit buitengewone kasteel te bekijken dat ons lijkt terug te brengen naar de Middeleeuwen met machicoulis, schietgaten, kantelen enz.

La ruta pasa por un paisaje variado de bosques, prados, cultivos, estanques y setos. Sin ser difícil, la ruta sigue las curvas del relieve que nos recuerdan que las estribaciones del Macizo Central no están lejos. El paisaje también está marcado por el valle de Anglin y los numerosos castillos, molinos y casas de piedra arenisca o caliza que bordean su curso. La ganadería ovina está muy presente aquí. Una parada en el Château Guillaume es imprescindible para descubrir este asombroso edificio que parece remontarse a la Edad Media con sus matacanes, sus aspilleras, sus almenas…

Il percorso attraversa un paesaggio vario di boschi, prati, coltivazioni, stagni e siepi. Senza essere difficile, il percorso segue le curve del rilievo che ci ricordano che le propaggini del Massiccio Centrale non sono lontane. Il paesaggio è segnato anche dalla valle di Anglin e dai numerosi castelli, mulini e case in arenaria o calcare che costeggiano il suo corso. L'allevamento di pecore è molto presente qui. Una sosta a Château Guillaume è d'obbligo per scoprire questo incredibile edificio che sembra risalire al Medioevo con le sue caditoie, le sue feritoie, le sue merlature?
