Circuit pédestre : une histoire de style – Roppenheim

Ce parcours de randonnée en boucle vous mène de Roppenheim à Neuhaeusel à travers un paysage plat, typique du Ried du Nord, marqué par la prépondérance de la culture céréalière. À quelques mètres sous vos pas, la plus grande nappe phréatique d'Europe s'écoule lentement vers le Rhin. À l'aller, par temps clair, vous apercevrez au loin la Forêt Noire et son plus haut sommet septentrional: la Hornisgrinde (1163 m), facilement repérable à sa tour de télévision. Au retour, les derniers contreforts des Vosges du Nord émergent à l'horizon. Roppenheim et ses alentours furent longtemps possession des seigneurs de Fleckenstein qui avaient un château et un pavillon de chasse. Des traces subsistent du côté de l'église Saint Michel, de son presbytère et de sa grange dîmière à colombages. Entouré par la forêt rhénane, le village de Neuhaeusel s'est développé à la deuxième moitié du XVIIème siècle, lors de la construction de la fortification du Fort-Louis par Vauban et pour laquelle les habitants ont fabriqué des briques et des tuiles. La pêche, la batellerie et l'agriculture ont ensuite pris le relais jusqu'au milieu du 20ème siècle. Des maisons paysannes traditionnelles y subsistent encore. This loop hike leads you from Roppenheim to Neuhaeusel through a flat landscape, typical of the Ried du Nord, marked by the preponderance of cereal growing. Dieser Rundwanderweg führt Sie von Roppenheim nach Neuhaeusel durch eine flache Landschaft, die typisch für das nördliche Ried ist und durch den vorherrschenden Getreideanbau geprägt wird. Nur wenige Meter unter Ihren Füßen fließt das größte Grundwasservorkommen Europas langsam in Richtung Rhein. Auf dem Hinweg können Sie an klaren Tagen in der Ferne den Schwarzwald und seinen höchsten nördlichen Gipfel, die Hornisgrinde (1163 m), sehen, die leicht an ihrem Fernsehturm zu erkennen ist. Auf dem Rückweg tauchen am Horizont die letzten Ausläufer der Nordvogesen auf. Roppenheim und seine Umgebung waren lange Zeit im Besitz der Herren von Fleckenstein, die ein Schloss und ein Jagdhaus besaßen. Spuren davon sind an der Kirche Saint Michel, ihrem Pfarrhaus und der Zehntscheune aus Fachwerk erhalten geblieben. Das vom Rheinwald umgebene Dorf Neuhaeusel entwickelte sich in der zweiten Hälfte des 17. Jahrhunderts, als Vauban die Befestigungsanlage Fort-Louis baute und die Einwohner Ziegel und Dachziegel dafür herstellten. Anschließend wurden sie bis Mitte des 20. Jahrhunderts von der Fischerei, der Binnenschifffahrt und der Landwirtschaft abgelöst. Traditionelle Bauernhäuser sind hier noch erhalten. Enkele meters onder u stroomt het grootste grondwater van Europa langzaam in de Rijn. Op de heenweg kunt u op een heldere dag in de verte het Zwarte Woud zien en de hoogste noordelijke top ervan: de Hornisgrinde (1163 m), die u gemakkelijk kunt herkennen aan zijn televisietoren. Op de terugweg doemen aan de horizon de laatste uitlopers van de Noordelijke Vogezen op. Roppenheim en omgeving waren lange tijd eigendom van de heren van Fleckenstein, die er een kasteel en een jachtslot hadden. Sporen van de kerk Saint-Michel, de pastorie en de vakwerkschuur zijn overgebleven. Het dorp Neuhaeusel, omgeven door het Rijnwoud, ontwikkelde zich in de tweede helft van de 17e eeuw, toen Vauban de versterking van Fort Louis bouwde, waarvoor de inwoners bakstenen en dakpannen maakten.
