La cloche a rythmé la vie des dockers jusqu’en 1962 en sonnant l’embauche et la fin de journée. Elle est aujourd’hui conservée par l’association du Musée maritime et portuaire, mais la tour témoigne toujours de l’activité intense des quais d’autrefois. À noter ! Die Glocke bestimmte bis 1962 den Tagesablauf der Hafenarbeiter, indem sie den Arbeitsbeginn und das Ende des Arbeitstages einläutete.
