Lucie Damond – artiste plasticienne – Égry

Après une formation de design textile à l’ESAAT, à Roubaix en 2011 et l'obtention d’un diplôme des métiers d’art en décors du mur, option laque à l’ENSAAMA à Paris en 2013. Lucie complète sa formation dans des ateliers au Mali, Portugal et au Vietnam. En 2017, elle se dirige vers la sculpture textile et crée son atelier en 2018 dans le Loiret d'où elle est originaire. Elle propose des ateliers autour de sa pratique et participe à des expositions et projets culturels tant au niveau local, qu’international. Son travail est un dialogue entre laque végétale et le tissage, avec pour première contrainte, l’utilisation de matériaux naturels. La notion de cycle est inhérente à l’utilisation de matières textiles revalorisées, de végétaux transformées afin d’affirmer une démarche écologique.

After training in textile design at ESAAT, Roubaix in 2011 and obtaining a diploma of craftsmanship in wall decorations, lacquer option at ENSAAMA in Paris in 2013. Lucie completed her training in workshops in Mali, Portugal and Vietnam. In 2017, she turned to textile sculpture and created her workshop in 2018 in the Loiret where she is originally from. She offers workshops around her practice and participates in exhibitions and cultural projects both locally and internationally. Her work is a dialogue between vegetable lacquer and weaving, with the first constraint, the use of natural materials. The notion of cycle is inherent in the use of recycled textile materials, transformed plants in order to affirm an ecological approach.

Nel 2017 si è dedicata alla scultura tessile e nel 2018 ha creato il suo laboratorio nella regione del Loiret, di cui è originaria. Il suo lavoro è un dialogo tra la lacca vegetale e la tessitura, con il primo vincolo dell'uso di materiali naturali.
