Chorège CDCN (Centre de Développement Chorégraphique National) fait vivre la danse à Falaise et ses alentours depuis 30 ans. Tout au long de l’année le CDCN favorise la rencontre entre les artistes et les habitant·e·s en faisant voyager la danse sur le territoire avec : — Des spectacles lors du festival au printemps & à l’automne — Des chorégraphes en résidence qui vous ouvrent régulièrement les portes de leur studio — Des actions culturelles pour faire découvrir la danse à tou·te·s — La pratique de la danse en amateur : des cours réguliers & des stages

Chorège | CDCN Falaise Normandie has been supporting the vitality of dance for 30 years, through a wide range of artistic and cultural education initiatives, practical bodywork courses, performances, and the hosting of numerous dancers and choreographers in residence. Since February 2021, Vincent Jean has been director of Chorège | CDCN, driving forward a new dynamic based on his project, Maintenant. In keeping with the historical continuity of the structure, while opening it up to new challenges, this project proposes to : ? emphasize the renewal of choreographic forms, notably through porosity with other arts (circus, visual arts, theater, performance, writing, etc.), and through the expansion of artist residencies? ? expand the distribution of shows through several highlights each season (Danse de tous les Sens, Flash, Spring)? ? amplify the territorial reach of Chorège?s activities throughout the Falaise region and Normandy, by taking dance to different or unusual places? ? nurture a local base that encourages encounters between artists and local residents…; ? encourage an intergenerational bond that reflects the social changes of our time, and joyfully promote a free and multiple body.
