LE CUL DU CERF

Site très pittoresque : une des plus spectaculaires curiosités naturelles du département, résultat d’une érosion chimique et mécanique de l’eau en milieu calcaire. D’un tracé presque circulaire, le ravin large de 200 m, profond de 65 m, avec des pentes supérieures à 45 %, s’ouvre vers le sud. Dans le fond, on trouve l’entrée du gouffre et la source supérieure et temporaire de la Manoise qui s’enfonce ensuite à plus de 70 m de profondeur dans une circulation souterraine. D’agréables parcours aménagés par l’Office National des Forêts descendent les parois inclinées du cirque jusqu’à la source, puis longent les sous-bois, le cours d’eau, les étangs jusqu’à Orquevaux.

A highly picturesque site: one of the department?s most spectacular natural sights, the result of chemical and mechanical water erosion in a limestone environment. The almost circular ravine, 200 m wide and 65 m deep, with gradients of over 45%, opens up to the south. At the bottom is the entrance to the chasm and the temporary upper source of the Manoise, which then sinks to a depth of over 70 m in an underground circulation. Pleasant paths laid out by the Office National des Forêts (French National Forestry Office) lead down the sloping walls of the cirque to the spring, then along the undergrowth, the stream and the ponds to Orquevaux.

Sehr malerischer Ort: eine der spektakulärsten natürlichen Sehenswürdigkeiten des Departements, Ergebnis einer chemischen und mechanischen Erosion durch Wasser in einer kalkhaltigen Umgebung. Die 200 m breite und 65 m tiefe Schlucht mit einem Gefälle von über 45 % hat einen fast kreisförmigen Verlauf und öffnet sich nach Süden. Am Grund befindet sich der Eingang der Schlucht und die obere, temporäre Quelle des Manoise, der dann in einem unterirdischen Kreislauf über 70 m tief in die Tiefe fließt. Angenehme, vom Office National des Forêts angelegte Wanderwege führen die schrägen Wände des Kars bis zur Quelle hinunter und dann durch Unterholz, entlang des Flusses und an Teichen vorbei bis nach Orquevaux.

Het ravijn is bijna cirkelvormig, 200 m breed, 65 m diep, met hellingen van meer dan 45%, en opent zich naar het zuiden. Op de bodem bevindt zich de ingang van de kloof en de tijdelijke bovenbron van de Manoise, die vervolgens in een ondergrondse circulatie naar een diepte van meer dan 70 m zakt. Aangename paden aangelegd door het Office National des Forêts leiden langs de schuine wanden van het keteldal naar de bron en vervolgens langs het kreupelhout, de beek en de vijvers naar Orquevaux.

Agradables senderos acondicionados por la Office National des Forêts descienden por las paredes inclinadas del circo hasta el manantial, y luego por el sotobosque, el arroyo y los estanques hasta Orquevaux.

Piacevoli sentieri tracciati dall'Office National des Forêts conducono lungo le pareti inclinate del circo fino alla sorgente, poi lungo il sottobosco, il torrente e gli stagni fino a Orquevaux.
