Ancienne cité fortifiée qui a conservé de nombreux vestiges de l'époque gallo romaine. Le village compte 2 églises dont l'église Saint Christophe, l'un des plus anciens édifices religieux du département et l'église Saint Lubin de pur style roman. L'existence de nombreuses sources et rivières a favorisé la construction de moulins à eau dès le Moyen Age.

The fortified town of Suèvres was, until the revolution, a prevotship of the St-Martin monks of Tours. In the Renaissance, houses with mullion windows, chateaux, and manors were built. The town has two churches, including St Christoper, one of the oldest religious buildings in the department. The many natural water springs and small rivers gave rise to the many water mills dating from the Middle Ages- 18 in all. 15 are still visible, and a marked trail will allow you to discover them. Eine alte befestigte Stadt, die zahlreiche Überreste aus der gallorömischen Zeit bewahrt hat. Im Dorf gibt es zwei Kirchen, darunter die Kirche Saint Christophe, eines der ältesten religiösen Gebäude des Departements, und die Kirche Saint Lubin, die im rein romanischen Stil erbaut wurde. Die Existenz zahlreicher Quellen und Flüsse begünstigte den Bau von Wassermühlen seit dem Mittelalter.
