. En 1712, la brèche de Beyrède, ou brèche d'Antin, fournit le marbre que le Roi préfère (marbre connu sous le nom de marbre d'Antin). Ces blocs de marbre descendaient la Neste, la Garonne ou l'Adour jusqu'à Bayonne ou Bordeaux, rejoignaient Rouen, et remontaient la Seine jusqu'à Paris.
Dans la seconde moitié du 18e siècle, le marquis de Polastron fit construire une papeterie (moulin à papier) au bord du ruisseau de Beyrède. . In 1712, the Beyrède Breccia, or Breccia d'Antin, provided the marble that the King preferred (marble known as marble d'Antin). These blocks of marble went down the Neste, Garonne or Adour rivers to Bayonne or Bordeaux, reached Rouen, and up the Seine to Paris.
In the second half of the 18th century, the Marquis de Polastron had a paper mill built on the banks of the Beyrède stream. This paper mill, supplying good quality blue and white paper, employed about ten workers in the first decades of the 19th century, more than 20 workers around 1850 (Loustau and Gouaux paper mill) but the activity declined and disappeared at the end of the 19th century.
