Prieuré Saint Étienne d’Allichamps – Bruère-Allichamps

L‘église d’Allichamps, ou plutôt ce qu’il en reste, présente encore aujourd’hui de très beaux chapiteaux sculptés et de nombreux modillons. (La sculpture des chapiteaux est en général un travail de commande répondant à un schéma bien précis. Par contre, les modillons sont laissés à l’inspiration du tailleur de pierre, qui se permet alors quelques traits d’humour ou d’ironie, comme vous pourrez le constater en levant la tête si vous poursuivez la visite à l’extérieur du bâtiment. A l’intérieur, les chapiteaux doivent certainement leur bel état de conservation au passé de grange à foin qu’à connu le bâtiment pendant de longues années).

I modiglioni, invece, sono lasciati all'estro dello scalpellino, che si concede qualche tocco di umorismo o di ironia, come potrete vedere alzando lo sguardo mentre proseguite la vostra visita all'esterno dell'edificio. All'interno, i capitelli devono certamente il loro ottimo stato di conservazione alla lunga storia dell'edificio come fienile).
