Place du Caragou – Manosque

Autrefois le Couvent des Bernardines, fondé au XVIIème siècle accueillait les jeunes filles de bonne famille. Ce qui restait de l'ensemble a été rasé en 1970 pour créer cette place. Le porche à l'entrée rappelle l'entrée du Couvent.

Once stood the Convent des Bernardines, founded in the 17th century and home to young girls from good families. What remained of the complex was demolished in 1970 to create this square. The porch at the entrance is a reminder of the entrance to the convent.

Früher beherbergte das im 17. Jahrhundert gegründete Kloster der Bernardines junge Mädchen aus gutem Hause. Die Überreste des Komplexes wurden 1970 abgerissen, um diesen Platz zu schaffen. Der Torbogen am Eingang erinnert an den Eingang des Klosters.
