Musée Franco-Américain du Château de Blérancourt – Blérancourt

Unique en France, le Musée Franco-Américain du Château de Blérancourt, consacré aux relations entre la France et les États-Unis, a rouvert en juillet 2017 après une importante rénovation et extension. Situé sur l'emplacement d'un château du XVIIème siècle, il a été fondé par Anne Morgan, fille du banquier américain J.P. Morgan, qui y installe en 1917 une organisation humanitaire pour la reconstruction de la région. Scandée par trois thèmes – Idéaux, Épreuves et Arts – la nouvelle présentation souligne les événements majeurs de cette amitié, depuis la Guerre d'Indépendance jusqu'à nos jours, grâce à des collections historiques et artistiques, et de fréquentes expositions temporaires. Le Château est entouré des Jardins du Nouveau Monde, qui offrent une sélection de fleurs et d'arbustes originaires du continent américain, ouverts au public toute l'année.

The only one of its kind in France, the Franco-American Museum at the Château de Blérancourt, dedicated to the relationship between France and the United States, reopened in July 2017 after a major renovation and expansion. Located on the site of a 17th-century castle, it was founded by Anne Morgan, daughter of American banker J.P. Morgan, who set up a humanitarian organization there in 1917 for the reconstruction of the region. Scandalized by three themes – Ideals, Trials and Arts – the new presentation highlights the major events of this friendship, from the Revolutionary War to the present day, through historical and artistic collections, and frequent temporary exhibitions. The Chateau is surrounded by the New World Gardens, which offer a selection of flowers and shrubs from the American continent, open to the public year-round.

Das in Frankreich einzigartige Franco-Amerikanische Museum im Schloss Blérancourt, das den Beziehungen zwischen Frankreich und den Vereinigten Staaten gewidmet ist, wurde im Juli 2017 nach einer umfangreichen Renovierung und Erweiterung wiedereröffnet. Das Museum befindet sich an der Stelle eines Schlosses aus dem 17. Jahrhundert und wurde von Anne Morgan, der Tochter des amerikanischen Bankiers J.P. Morgan, gegründet, die hier 1917 eine humanitäre Organisation für den Wiederaufbau der Region einrichtete. Die neue Präsentation, die von drei Themen – Ideale, Prüfungen und Künste – geprägt ist, unterstreicht die wichtigsten Ereignisse dieser Freundschaft, vom Unabhängigkeitskrieg bis heute, mit Hilfe von historischen und künstlerischen Sammlungen und häufigen Sonderausstellungen. Das Schloss ist von den New World Gardens umgeben, die eine Auswahl an Blumen und Sträuchern aus dem amerikanischen Kontinent bieten und das ganze Jahr über für die Öffentlichkeit zugänglich sind.

La nueva presentación está estructurada en torno a tres temas -Ideales, Pruebas y Artes- y destaca los principales acontecimientos de esta amistad, desde la Guerra de la Independencia hasta la actualidad, a través de colecciones históricas y artísticas, y de frecuentes exposiciones temporales. El castillo está rodeado por los Jardines del Nuevo Mundo, que ofrecen una selección de flores y arbustos del continente americano, abiertos al público durante todo el año.
