LAVOIR DE QUINCAMPOIX

Ce lavoir a été construit par la municipalité afin de satisfaire une demande des lavandières de la commune. Le ruisseau qui l'aliment s'appelle le Deffays. Il prend sa source en forêt. Non entretenu pendant une période, sa restauration a été reprise en charge au cours des années 1980, c'est alors qu'il rentre dans le patrimoine communal. Cette restauration a été entièrement faite par des bénévoles amoureux du patrimoine local. Un bel exemple de solidarité communale.

This wash house was built by the municipality to satisfy a demand from the women washers of the municipality. The stream that feeds it is called the Deffays. It has its source in the forest. Not maintained for a period, its restoration was resumed during the 1980s, when it became part of the municipal heritage. This restoration was entirely done by volunteers who love the local heritage. A fine example of communal solidarity.
