Faïencerie Lamort – Sierck-les-Bains

Faïencerie créée en 1858 (datation par source) pour Claude Charles Lamort, en activité jusque 1874 puis de 1885 à une date indéterminée. Logement patronal construit en 1864 (porte la date). Le site comprenait en 1884 : un atelier de fabrication et cheminée d’usine (détruits) situés sur le territoire de la commune de Rustroff, moulin à vernis, deux moulins à pâte à Marienfloss et Schleifmuhl, logement patronal, logement d’ ouvriers, écuries. Le bâtiment abritait en 1884 six fours à double effet, deux machines à vapeur actionnant des moteurs mécaniques. On y fabriquait de la faïence fine et dure (porcelaine opaque).
