Eglise Saint-Martin – Chérizet

Chérizet est une très petite commune de Saône-et-Loire de 26 habitants au dernier recensement. L'église, placée sous le vocable de Saint-Martin, a conservé de la période romane, l'abside, la travée sous clocher et le clocher. La nef a été reconstruite de 1870 à 1873, au temps des 150 habitants. Rattachée à la succursale de Sailly (Canton de Saint-Gengoux) au moment du Concordat, elle fut réunie à Salornay-sur-Guye par ordonnance royale du 30 juillet 1823, retournant à la situation antérieure. Elle fut la chapelle vicariale entre 1859 et 1864.
