Die Domaine ist somit das "erste Zentrum für Kunst und Natur, das sich ganz der Beziehung zwischen Natur und Kultur, künstlerischem Schaffen und landschaftlicher Erfindung, Kulturerbe und Gegenwart widmet". Uitkijkend over de ontembare Loire en met een mooi uitzicht over de koninklijke rivier, ontvangt het Domaine de Chaumont-sur-Loire jaarlijks meer dan 385.000 bezoekers op een terrein van 32 hectaren. Het landgoed bestaat uit een kasteel (15e – 19e eeuw), stallen, een landschapstuin en het Internationale Tuinfestival. Als centrum voor kunst en natuur worden er op het landgoed tentoonstellingen georganiseerd met installaties van eigentijdse kunstenaars en bekende fotografen. Deze zomer nodigen de « Jardins de Lumière » je uit tot een mooie avondwandeling door de tuinen van het Festival.
