Cimetière mennonite – Haraucourt-sur-Seille

Le petit village d'Haraucourt à la particularité de posséder un cimetière mennonite qui existe depuis 1811. Les mennonites sont une branche anabaptiste née au XVIIème siècle, il s'agit de dissidents protestants de Suisse. Les anabaptistes ont été chassés de Sainte Marie aux Mines au XVIIIème siècle par Louis XIV, ils partent alors vers l'ouest. Le cimetière d'Haraucourt servait à toute la communauté anabaptiste de Dieuze.

The small village of Haraucourt has the particularity of having a Mennonite cemetery that has existed since 1811. The Mennonites are an Anabaptist branch born in the 17th century, they are Protestant dissidents from Switzerland. The Anabaptists were expelled from Sainte Marie aux Mines in the 18th century by Louis XIV, they then moved westward. The cemetery at Haraucourt served the entire Anabaptist community of Dieuze.

Das kleine Dorf Haraucourt hat die Besonderheit, einen Mennonitenfriedhof zu besitzen, der seit 1811 besteht. Die Mennoniten sind ein Zweig der Täufer, der im 17. Jahrhundert entstand. Es handelt sich um protestantische Dissidenten aus der Schweiz. Die Täufer wurden im 18. Jahrhundert von Ludwig XIV. aus Sainte Marie aux Mines vertrieben, woraufhin sie nach Westen zogen. Der Friedhof von Haraucourt diente der gesamten Täufergemeinde von Dieuze.
