Centre d'Interprétation de l'Auld Alliance – Aubigny-sur-Nère

Le Centre d'Interprétation de l'Auld Alliance est situé dans l'enceinte du Château des Stuarts. Construit au début du XVIe siècle par Robert Stuart de Lennox, maréchal de France, il fut remanié et embelli par la Duchesse de Portsmouth Louise de Kéroualle au XVIIIe siècle. Sur la façade d'entrée du châtelet trône fièrement le blason des Stuarts d'Aubigny auquel fait face une immense épée entourée d'eau et de rochers : le monument de l'Auld Alliance, symbole de l'alliance scellée entre la France et l’Écosse en 1295 contre l'ennemi commun Anglais. The Auld Alliance Interpretation Center is located in the grounds of the Castle of the Stuarts. Built in the early 16th century by Robert Stuart of Lennox, Marshal of France, it was remodeled and embellished by the Duchess of Portsmouth Louise de Keroualle in the 18th century.
