Château de la Barben – La Barben

Ancienne forteresse du XIème siècle construite sur un piton rocheux, le château fut la propriété du Bon Roi René au XVème siècle puis des marquis de Forbin pendant 500 ans. Aménagé en château de plaisance au XVIIe siècle, il présente de magnifiques jardins à la française dessinés par Le Nôtre. Tapisseries des Flandres, de Bruxelles et d'Aubusson, plafonds à la française, décors de gypserie, toiles peintes, cuirs de Cordoue, le château est entièrement décoré et meublé d'époque. L'accès au château et au jardin est possible via le parc de loisirs sur le thème de la Provence : Rocher Mistral. Situé à proximité du parc animalier de la Barben.

Die ehemalige Festung aus dem 11. Jahrhundert, die auf einem Felsvorsprung errichtet wurde, war im 15. Jahrhundert im Besitz des Guten Königs René und anschließend 500 Jahre lang im Besitz der Marquis de Forbin. Im 17. Jahrhundert wurde es zu einem Lustschloss umgebaut und verfügt über wunderschöne französische Gärten, die von Le Nôtre entworfen wurden. Wandteppiche aus Flandern, Brüssel und Aubusson, französische Decken, Gipskartondekorationen, bemalte Leinwände, Leder aus Cordoba – das Schloss ist vollständig im Stil der Epoche dekoriert und möbliert. Der Zugang zum Schloss und zum Garten ist über den Freizeitpark mit dem Thema Provence möglich: Rocher Mistral. Das Hotel liegt in der Nähe des Tierparks von La Barben.
