Charpey – Charpey

Blotti autour de son château d’origine, le village s’est développé en cercle, protégé par des remparts massifs. Aujourd’hui, seuls quelques vestiges témoignent de cette fortification : des maisons ornées de leurs fenêtres à meneaux, et des tours ruinées.

Charpey was the center of an important ancient mandement that also included the priory of Saint-Didier, the commandery of Saint-Vincent and the farming village of Bésayes. Destroyed in 1345 during the Episcopal War.

Um seine ursprüngliche Burg geschmiegt, entwickelte sich das Dorf kreisförmig, geschützt von massiven Stadtmauern. Heute zeugen nur noch wenige Überreste von dieser Befestigung: Häuser, die mit ihren Sprossenfenstern geschmückt sind, und verfallene Türme.

Charpey bestaat uit twee dorpen: het cirkelvormige dorp Charpey op de heuvel en St-Didier. De straatjes slingeren in kringen rond de heuvel naar het uitzichtpunt op de top, waar men een mooi uitzicht heeft op de vlakte en de Monts du Matin.

Enclavado alrededor de su castillo original, el pueblo creció en círculo, protegido por enormes murallas. Hoy sólo quedan algunos vestigios de esta fortificación: casas adornadas con ajimeces y torres en ruinas.

Il villaggio si è sviluppato intorno al suo castello originario, protetto da massicci bastioni. Oggi di questa fortificazione rimangono solo alcune vestigia: case ornate da bifore e torri in rovina.
