Chapelle Saint-Nicolas de l'Hôtel-Dieu – Montreuil-sur-Mer

L'Hôtel-Dieu est fondé au XIIIème siècle par Gauthier de Maintenay. Tenus par les soeurs Augustines dès 1252, l'établissement hospitalier et sa chapelle sont durement touchés par la mystérieuse catastrophe naturelle de 1467. Le sanctuaire est rebâti et consacré en 1475. Ne subsiste du XVème siècle que son portail flamboyant. C'est dans la seconde moitié du XIXème que la chapelle fait peau neuve grâce aux spectaculaires travaux de restauration entrepris sous l'égide de l'architecte Clovis Normand. Elle consitue aujourd'hui un très bel exemple d'architecture néogothique. Inscrite aux Monuments historiques.

The Hôtel-Dieu was founded in the 13th century by Gauthier de Maintenay. Held by the Augustinian sisters from 1252, the hospital and its chapel were badly affected by the mysterious natural disaster of 1467. The sanctuary was rebuilt and consecrated in 1475. Only its flamboyant portal remains from the 15th century. It was in the second half of the 19th century that the chapel was given a new look thanks to the spectacular restoration work undertaken under the aegis of the architect Clovis Normand. Today it is a very beautiful example of neo-gothic architecture Registered with the Historical Monuments.

Das Hôtel-Dieu wurde im 13. Jahrhundert von Gauthier de Maintenay gegründet. Ab 1252 wurde das Hospital von Augustinerinnen geführt. Die mysteriöse Naturkatastrophe von 1467 traf die Einrichtung und ihre Kapelle schwer. Das Heiligtum wurde wieder aufgebaut und 1475 geweiht. Aus dem 15. Jahrhundert ist nur noch das flamboyante Portal erhalten. In der zweiten Hälfte des 19. Jahrhunderts erhielt die Kapelle dank der spektakulären Restaurierungsarbeiten unter der Leitung des Architekten Clovis Normand ein neues Gesicht. Heute ist sie ein sehr schönes Beispiel für neogotische Architektur. Eingetragen in die Liste der historischen Monumente.

Het hospitaal en de kapel werden vanaf 1252 beheerd door de Augustijner nonnen en werden hard getroffen door de mysterieuze natuurramp van 1467. Het heiligdom werd herbouwd en ingewijd in 1475. Van de 15e eeuw is alleen het flamboyante portaal overgebleven. In de tweede helft van de 19e eeuw onderging de kapel een spectaculaire restauratie onder leiding van architect Clovis Normand. Het is nu een mooi voorbeeld van neogotische architectuur. Geclassificeerd als Historisch Monument.

Dirigido por las monjas agustinas desde 1252, el hospital y su capilla fueron duramente golpeados por la misteriosa catástrofe natural de 1467. El santuario fue reconstruido y consagrado en 1475. Del siglo XV sólo se conserva su flamante portal. En la segunda mitad del siglo XIX, la capilla fue objeto de una espectacular restauración bajo la dirección del arquitecto Clovis Normand. Actualmente es un bello ejemplo de arquitectura neogótica. Declarada Monumento Histórico.

Del XV secolo rimane solo il portale fiammeggiante. Nella seconda metà del XIX secolo, la cappella fu sottoposta a uno spettacolare restauro sotto l'egida dell'architetto Clovis Normand. Oggi è un bell'esempio di architettura neogotica. È stata classificata come monumento storico.
