Cathédrale Notre-Dame et Saint-Thyrse – Sisteron

Ce majestueux monument mêlant harmonieusement art roman et architecture lombarde a été bâti à partir du XIIème siècle. Cet édifice est classé Monument Historique depuis 1840.

In the Early Middle Ages, a significant Episcopal group formed here, with the particularity, as early as the 11th century, of having a co-cathedral: two cathedrals, Our Lady and Saint Thyrse, stood side by side.

In der ersten Zeit des Mittelalters war hier eine bedeutende bischöfliche Gruppe angesiedelt mit der Besonderheit, ab dem 11. Jh. zwei Kathedralen aufzuweisen: Notre Dame und Saint Thyrse.

Gebouwd in de 12de eeuw, de kathedraal is één van de grootste gebedshuizen in de provence in deze romaans provençaalse stijl.

Este majestuoso monumento, mezcla armoniosa de arte románico y arquitectura lombarda, fue construido a partir del siglo XII. El edificio está catalogado como Monumento Histórico desde 1840.

All'inizio del medioevo in questo luogo c'eraun gruppo episcopale importante che aveva la caratteristica, fin dall' XIesimo secolo, di avere due cattedrali una di fianco all'altra, Notre Dame e Saint Thyrse.
