ANCIENNE STATION THERMALE BARBAZAN-LOURES – Loures-Barousse

L'exploitation des eaux débute en 1840 mais c'est surtout entre 1880 et 1940 que la station se développe. Dans son sillage, de nombreux édifices est infrastructures sont construites à Barbazan et à Loures-Barousse. Cette dernière profite en effet de l'aménagement d'une gare ferroviaire en 1873. L’activité thermale périclitera progressivement jusqu’à la fermeture définitive des thermes à la fin des années 1990. A Loures-Barousse, en vous promenant dans les rues, vous pourrez admirer d'anciennes villas, qui accueillaient les curistes, les anciens hôtels, les ruines du casino…

Water production began in 1840, but it was between 1880 and 1940 that the resort really took off. In its wake, numerous buildings and infrastructures were constructed in Barbazan and Loures-Barousse. The latter benefited from the construction of a railway station in 1873. The spa business gradually declined, until it was finally closed at the end of the 1990s. Die Wassernutzung begann 1840, aber der Ort entwickelte sich vor allem zwischen 1880 und 1940. In Barbazan und Loures-Barousse wurden zahlreiche neue Gebäude und Infrastrukturen errichtet. Lourdes profitierte von der Einrichtung eines Bahnhofs im Jahr 1873. Die Thermalbäder gingen jedoch immer mehr zurück, bis sie Ende der 1990er Jahre endgültig geschlossen wurden. In Loures-Barousse können Sie bei einem Spaziergang durch die Straßen alte Villen, die Kurgäste beherbergten, alte Hotels, die Ruinen des Kasinos usw. bewundern.

De exploitatie van de wateren begon in 1840, maar het was vooral tussen 1880 en 1940 dat de badplaats zich ontwikkelde. In het kielzog hiervan werden talrijke gebouwen en infrastructuren gebouwd in Barbazan en Loures-Barousse. Deze laatste profiteerde van de bouw van een treinstation in 1873. Het kuuroord ging geleidelijk achteruit tot het eind jaren 1990 definitief werd gesloten. La explotación de las aguas comenzó en 1840, pero fue sobre todo entre 1880 y 1940 cuando se desarrolló el balneario. A su paso, se construyeron numerosos edificios e infraestructuras en Barbazan y Loures-Barousse. Esta última se benefició de la construcción de una estación de ferrocarril en 1873. La actividad balnearia decayó progresivamente hasta su cierre definitivo a finales de los años noventa. Pasee por las calles de Loures-Barousse y podrá admirar algunas de las antiguas villas que acogían a los balnearios, los antiguos hoteles, las ruinas del casino…

Lo sfruttamento delle acque iniziò nel 1840, ma fu soprattutto tra il 1880 e il 1940 che la località si sviluppò. Sulla sua scia, furono costruiti numerosi edifici e infrastrutture a Barbazan e Loures-Barousse. Quest'ultima ha beneficiato della costruzione di una stazione ferroviaria nel 1873. L'attività termale declinò gradualmente fino alla chiusura definitiva alla fine degli anni Novanta. Passeggiando per le strade di Loures-Barousse si possono ammirare alcune delle antiche ville che accoglievano i frequentatori delle terme, i vecchi alberghi, le rovine del casinò…
