Ancienne centrale électrique dite "Usine Élévatoire" – Fay-aux-Loges

La centrale électrique a été construite entre 1910 et 1912 pour alimenter le canal d'Orléans. L'usine centrale à charbon fournissait du courant électrique aux onze stations de pompage construites près des écluses situées sur le versant de la Loire. L'eau était pompée dans la Loire par la station de pompage de Combleux. L'établissement fut fermé en 1922. Le bâtiment est utilisé comme restaurant. Les façades enduites du bâtiment en briques soutiennent un toit à longs pans couvert d'ardoises et surmonté de deux lanterneaux posés sur une charpente à la Polonceau. La haute cheminée en briques a été dérasée sur quatre mètres environ. Quatre petites constructions d'habitation, modifiées, ont été conservées aux angles du bâtiment principal.

The power station was built between 1910 and 1912 to supply power to the Orléans Canal. The coal-fired power station supplied electric power to the eleven pumping stations built near the locks on the banks of the Loire. The water was pumped into the Loire through the Combleux pumping station. The plant was closed in 1922. The building is used as a restaurant. The coated facades of the brick building support a slate-covered, long-sloped roof topped by two skylights set on a Polonceau-style framework. The high brick chimney has been razed to the ground for around four metres. Four small, modified residential buildings have been preserved at the corners of the main building.

Das Kraftwerk wurde zwischen 1910 und 1912 gebaut, um den Orléans-Kanal mit Strom zu versorgen.
