Abbaye de Fontdouce – Saint-Bris-des-Bois

Alliance remarquable de l’art roman et de l’art gothique, l’Abbaye de Fontdouce est un site privilégié pour profiter d’une visite en famille, d’un pique-nique au bord de l’eau ou d’une balade dans le vallon boisé et bordé de vignes.

Founded in 1111, the abbey is located in a green and peaceful valley. Exceptional in the area, it combines the austere Romanesque in the chapels and the luminous Gothic in the chapter house and the parlour. Fontdouce has been restored for more than 40 years and organizes each year exhibitions, concerts, training courses (songs, calligraphy…) and a lot of various animations.
