La Belle Bourguignonne – Crêches-sur-Saône

Laurence & Fabrice open the doors of a charming authentic winemaker's house of character built in 1850, steeped in history, of which the imposing wine press remains on the garden side, carefully restored & re-enchanted into a soothing "guest house", nestled on the edge of an alley in the heart of a peaceful residential area, a stone's throw from the commercial town centre as well as the gentle preserved countryside around and the first vineyards which dominate the place. Nestled on the banks of the Saône (protected as a "Natura 2000 Zone" for its remarkable ecosystems, particularly ornithological), Crêches-sur-Saône boasts all amenities (including a large shopping area located well away from the village) and a wealth of sports and leisure facilities, including a renowned body of water (the Port d'Arcia nautical and leisure center with supervised swimming and numerous activities). It also enjoys a magnificent, hilly, vineyard-covered landscape (largely protected as a ZNIEFF for its rich fauna and flora), combining bucolic vineyard slopes and deep, wild forest massifs, offering sublime panoramic views of the Saône Valley, the Alps, and even Mont Blanc on a clear day! A spacious and very comfortable room nestled under the eaves, like a "cocoon," in what was once a loft. A warm, "country chic" charm blends tradition and modernity, reminiscent of a cozy family home, enhanced by the original sculptural timber frame. The atmosphere is wonderfully enveloping, soft, and comfortable, exuding the art of living (you'll appreciate the extensive library as well as the record player and its collection of records at your disposal). A spacious and comfortable bathroom completes the picture. The delightful, well-maintained, and flower-filled garden features a unique, beautiful kidney-shaped swimming pool, a large sunny terrace (where breakfast is served in fine weather), and a convenient carport nestled under the historic covered walkway extending from the imposing carriage entrance, all within the intimate confines of the property.
