Thibaut Garcia & Antoine Morinière, guitares BACH | Variations Goldberg (transcription pour guitares) Dans leur trajectoire légendaire lancée depuis l’esprit fécond de Jean-Sébastien Bach, Les Variations Goldberg ont connu bien des versions, voyageant d’instruments en instruments et d’interprétations mythiques en réécritures stylisées. Après le clavecin originel et le mythique piano de Glenn Gould, voilà que Thibaut Garcia et Antoine Morinière mettent à l’épreuve la souplesse de cette musique éternelle, dans un arrangement pour duo de guitares réalisé de leurs mains. Une version toute en nuances et transparence pour laquelle les deux musiciens ont fait tout spécialement réaliser deux instruments jumeaux dans un bois identique. La glorieuse histoire des « Goldberg » continue ! « Depuis notre première rencontre, il y a quinze ans déjà, les Variations Goldberg de Jean-Sébastien Bach n’ont cessé d’accompagner notre parcours de musiciens. Liés par une amitié profonde dès nos débuts, tous deux entrés au Conservatoire de Paris, nous passions nos journées à jouer en duo, à déchiffrer des partitions, à interroger les transcriptions, à explorer sans relâche. La musique baroque pour clavier nous fascinait depuis toujours. After the original harpsichord and Glenn Gould's mythical piano, Thibaut Garcia and Antoine Morinière now put the flexibility of this eternal music to the test, in their own arrangement for guitar duo. A version full of nuance and transparency, for which the two musicians had two twin instruments specially made from identical wood. The glorious story of the "Goldbergs" continues! "Since we first met fifteen years ago, Johann Sebastian Bach's Goldberg Variations have been a constant companion on our musical journey. Bound together by a deep friendship from the start, both of us having entered the Paris Conservatoire, we spent our days playing duets, deciphering scores, questioning transcriptions, exploring relentlessly. Baroque keyboard music had always fascinated us. Deep inside, we had a crazy dream: to one day dare to approach this monument, this masterpiece of musical architecture, as dizzying as it is timeless – the Goldberg Variations." Nach dem ursprünglichen Cembalo und Glenn Goulds legendärem Klavier stellen Thibaut Garcia und Antoine Morinière die Flexibilität dieser ewigen Musik in einer eigenhändig erstellten Bearbeitung für Gitarrenduo auf die Probe. Für diese nuancenreiche und transparente Version haben die beiden Musiker eigens zwei Zwillingsinstrumente aus demselben Holz anfertigen lassen. Die glorreiche Geschichte der "Goldbergs" geht weiter! "Seit unserer ersten Begegnung vor 15 Jahren haben uns die Goldberg-Variationen von Johann Sebastian Bach als Musiker immer wieder begleitet. Seit unseren Anfängen durch eine tiefe Freundschaft verbunden, haben wir beide das Pariser Konservatorium besucht und unsere Tage damit verbracht, im Duo zu spielen, Partituren zu entziffern, Transkriptionen zu hinterfragen und unermüdlich zu forschen. Die Barockmusik für Tasteninstrumente faszinierte uns schon immer. Tief in unserem Inneren kauerte ein verrückter Traum: dass wir es eines Tages wagen würden, uns diesem Monument zu nähern, diesem Meisterwerk der musikalischen Architektur, das ebenso schwindelerregend wie zeitlos ist – den Goldberg-Variationen." Na het originele klavecimbel en de legendarische piano van Glenn Gould, stellen Thibaut Garcia en Antoine Morinière nu de flexibiliteit van deze eeuwige muziek op de proef in hun eigen arrangement voor gitaarduo. Een versie vol nuance en transparantie, waarvoor de twee musici twee tweelinginstrumenten speciaal lieten maken van identiek hout. Het glorieuze verhaal van de 'Goldbergs' gaat verder! "Sinds we elkaar vijftien jaar geleden voor het eerst ontmoetten, zijn de Goldbergvariaties van Johann Sebastian Bach een constante metgezel op onze muzikale reis. Verbonden door een diepe vriendschap vanaf het allereerste begin, gingen we allebei naar het Parijse Conservatorium en brachten onze dagen door met het spelen in duet, het ontcijferen van partituren, het in twijfel trekken van transcripties en het onophoudelijk onderzoeken. Tras el clavicémbalo original y el legendario piano de Glenn Gould, Thibaut Garcia y Antoine Morinière ponen aquí a prueba la flexibilidad de esta música eterna, en un arreglo para dúo de guitarras realizado por sus propias manos. Dentro di noi avevamo un sogno folle: osare un giorno avvicinarci a questo monumento, a questo capolavoro dell'architettura musicale, tanto vertiginoso quanto senza tempo: le Variazioni Goldberg.
