C’est un récit épique, intime et politique qui nous transporte à la fin du XIXe siècle. Sur scène quinze artistes venus d’Europe, d’Algérie et de Nouvelle-Calédonie s’insurgent contre l’oppression et deviennent frères et soeurs de lutte sous l’impulsion de Louise Michel, d’El Mokrani et du grand chef Ataï. En racontant simultanément l’histoire de ces trois peuples, de ces trois révoltes, de ces trois continents, Abdelwaheb Sefsaf crée un horizon commun et relate ces révolutions qui fondent aujourd’hui encore le socle de notre identité. Sur un plancher à la dérive comme le pont d’un bateau, les artistes comédiens, chanteurs, musiciens et le danseur slameur kanak Simanë Wenethem traversent les continents et les tourments. Une fresque musicale et historique grand format qui, derrière la lutte, nous laisse entrevoir espoir et utopie.

It's an epic, intimate and political tale that takes us back to the end of the 19th century. On stage, fifteen artists from Europe, Algeria and New Caledonia rise up against oppression, becoming brothers and sisters in the struggle led by Louise Michel, El Mokrani and the great chief Ataï. By simultaneously telling the story of these three peoples, these three revolts, these three continents, Abdelwaheb Sefsaf creates a common horizon and recounts the revolutions that still form the basis of our identity today. On a floor drifting like the deck of a ship, actors, singers, musicians and Kanak slam dancer Simanë Wenethem cross continents and torments. A large-scale musical and historical fresco which, behind the struggle, gives us a glimpse of hope and utopia.

Es ist eine epische, intime und politische Erzählung, die uns an das Ende des 19. Jahrhunderts zurückversetzt. Auf der Bühne stehen fünfzehn Künstler aus Europa, Algerien und Neukaledonien, die sich gegen die Unterdrückung auflehnen und unter der Führung von Louise Michel, El Mokrani und dem großen Aïta zu Brüdern und Schwestern im Kampf werden häuptling Atai. Indem er die Geschichte dieser drei Völker, dieser drei Revolten und dieser drei Kontinente gleichzeitig erzählt, schafft Abdelwaheb Sefsaf einen gemeinsamen Horizont und berichtet von den Revolutionen, die auch heute noch das Fundament unserer Identität bilden. Auf einem Boden, der wie das Deck eines Schiffes treibt, durchqueren die Schauspieler, Sänger, Musiker und der kanakische Slam-Tänzer Simanë Wenethem die Kontinente und die Qualen. Ein großformatiges musikalisches und historisches Fresko, das uns hinter dem Kampf Hoffnung und Utopie erahnen lässt.

Het is een episch, intiem en politiek verhaal dat ons terugbrengt naar het einde van de 19e eeuw. Op het toneel komen vijftien kunstenaars uit Europa, Algerije en Nieuw-Caledonië in opstand tegen onderdrukking en worden broeders en zusters in de strijd onder leiding van Louise Michel, El Mokrani en het grote opperhoofd Ataï. Door tegelijkertijd het verhaal te vertellen van deze drie volkeren, deze drie opstanden, deze drie continenten, creëert Abdelwaheb Sefsaf een gemeenschappelijke horizon en vertelt hij over deze revoluties die vandaag de dag nog steeds de basis vormen van onze identiteit. Op een vloer die drijft als het dek van een schip, doorkruisen de acteurs, zangers, muzikanten en Kanak slamdanser Simanë Wenethem continenten en kwellingen. Al contar simultáneamente la historia de estos tres pueblos, de estas tres revueltas, de estos tres continentes, Abdelwaheb Sefsaf crea un horizonte común y relata estas revoluciones que aún hoy constituyen la base de nuestra identidad. Sobre un suelo a la deriva como la cubierta de un barco, los actores, cantantes, músicos y la bailarina de slam kanak Simanë Wenethem atraviesan continentes y tormentos. Un fresco musical e histórico a gran escala que, tras la lucha, nos permite vislumbrar la esperanza y la utopía.
