Description

Lene?s big dream is to explore the cellar of the family home on her own. But it's dark and damp, and her brother has expressly forbidden her to borrow his beautiful yellow flashlight. At last, the opportunity presents itself. She could go downstairs. But no sooner has she grabbed the flashlight than she hears her brother return. Will Lene go through with her actions? Will she project herself into the unknown and transgress the forbidden?
With simplicity and precision, three performers bring this tale of learning to life. Jon Fosse?s writing gives rhythm to Lene?s hesitations, her fears and her desire to transgress. In a minimalist set, L'Amin Théâtre sketches the outlines of doors and rooms in the house with white lines. Each of us can then transpose the story to our own home.
