Description

On stage, a troupe in their underpants: the performers, but also the technical crew. They wait for what the audience wants to give them: clothes, sheets, wallpaper, jewelry, chalk, bicycle helmets, "child-sized" flippers… which will be used by a group of little hands, "the aprons", in charge of transforming lead into gold, making a costume or a wig, imagining a sound from a saucepan or a vinyl. All of this is invented before our very eyes, thanks to the audience, who provide the missing ingredient in the art of performance: sharing. John Arnold, the linchpin of this project, is the only actor in traditional costume, and with all due austerity, portrays Harpagon au naturel, with malicious ease, surrounded by an attractive and talented cast. A joyous celebration of theater
