Un Tom Pouce à Kyoto… Issunboshi est un enfant qui ne grandit pas et reste aussi minuscule qu’à sa naissance malgré les années qui passent. Il se sent trop différent des autres. Il est si petit qu’il a l’impression de n’être utile à personne. Il décide donc, au début des vacances d’été, de partir seul retrouver ses grands-parents à la grande ville de Kyoto. Il va devoir trouver en lui toutes les ressources qu’il possède pour découvrir la complexité et l’immensité du monde, affronter des dangers et lier des amitiés. Tout cela va l’aider à grandir. A Tom Thumb in Kyoto? Issunboshi is a child who never grows up and remains as tiny as when he was born, despite the passing years years go by. He feels too different from the others. He's so small that he feels he's of no use to anyone. So, at the start of summer vacation, he decides to set off alone to find his grandparents in the big city of Kyoto. He has to find all the resources within himself to discover the complexity and immensity of the world, face dangers and make friends. All this will help him grow up. Ages 6 and up. Ein Tom Daumen in Kyoto? Issunboshi ist ein Kind, das nicht wächst und trotz der Jahre so winzig bleibt wie bei seiner Geburt die vergehen. Er fühlt sich zu sehr von den anderen unterschieden. Er ist so klein, dass er das Gefühl hat, von niemandem gebraucht zu werden. Deshalb beschließt er zu Beginn der Sommerferien, allein zu seinen Großeltern in die Großstadt Kyoto zu fahren. Een Klein Duimpje in Kyoto? Issunboshi is een kind dat nooit volwassen wordt en net zo klein blijft als toen hij werd geboren, ondanks de jaren die voorbijgaan jaren gaan voorbij. Hij voelt zich te anders dan de anderen. Hij is zo klein dat hij het gevoel heeft dat niemand iets aan hem heeft. Dus besluit hij aan het begin van de zomervakantie in zijn eentje op zoek te gaan naar zijn grootouders in de grote stad Kyoto. Hij moet alle middelen in zichzelf zien te vinden om de complexiteit en onmetelijkheid van de wereld te ontdekken, gevaren te trotseren en vrienden te maken. Es tan pequeño que siente que no sirve para nada. Así que, al comienzo de las vacaciones de verano, decide irse solo a buscar a sus abuelos a la gran ciudad de Kioto. Un Pollicino a Kyoto? Issunboshi è un bambino che non cresce mai e rimane piccolo come quando è nato, nonostante il passare degli anni gli anni passano. Si sente troppo diverso dagli altri. È così piccolo che sente di non essere utile a nessuno. Così, all'inizio delle vacanze estive, decide di partire da solo per trovare i suoi nonni nella grande città di Kyoto. Deve trovare tutte le risorse dentro di sé per scoprire la complessità e l'immensità del mondo, affrontare i pericoli e fare amicizia. Tutto questo lo aiuterà a crescere.
