Après le succès mondial de One Song, joué à La Criée dans le cadre d’Actoral 2022, Miet Warlop revient avec une nouvelle création inclassable. Sur scène, d’immenses pièces d’étoffes emmenées par les interprètes s’enroulent, se déroulent, se frôlent et semblent sculpter l’espace apparemment vide du plateau. Pour l’artiste, ces mouvements sont aussi la métaphore de la tempête intérieure qu’elle ressent lorsqu’elle crée, alternance d’agitation et de calme semblable à la vague qui se forme et à la mer qui monte avant de se retirer. La création est construite comme un solo repris en canon par les interprètes. Ils et elles forment alors un chœur discontinu, à l'image du caractère fragmenté de nos sociétés. After the worldwide success of One Song, performed at La Criée as part of Actoral 2022, Miet Warlop returns with a new, unclassifiable creation. On stage, immense pieces of fabric carried by the performers roll up, unroll and brush against each other, seemingly sculpting the seemingly empty space of the stage. For the artist, these movements are also a metaphor for the inner storm she feels when creating, alternating between agitation and calm, like the wave that forms and the sea that rises before receding. The creation is constructed as a solo taken up in canon by the performers. They form a discontinuous chorus, reflecting the fragmented nature of our societies. Inhale Delirium Exhale illustrates our difficulty in connecting, even when we are gathered together; rather than seeking unison at all costs, Miet Warlop invites us to allow each voice its singularity, without ever breaking with our desire to relate to others. Für die Künstlerin sind diese Bewegungen auch eine Metapher für den inneren Sturm, den sie bei ihrer Arbeit empfindet. Die Kreation ist wie ein Solo aufgebaut, das von den Darstellern im Kanon wiederholt wird. Sie bilden einen diskontinuierlichen Chor, der den fragmentierten Charakter unserer Gesellschaft widerspiegelt. Na het wereldwijde succes van One Song, uitgevoerd in La Criée als onderdeel van Actoral 2022, keert Miet Warlop terug met een nieuwe onclassificeerbare creatie. Op het podium rollen enorme lappen stof onder leiding van de performers zich op, rollen zich af en strijken tegen elkaar, waardoor de schijnbaar lege ruimte van het podium wordt gebeeldhouwd. Voor de kunstenaar zijn deze bewegingen ook een metafoor voor de innerlijke storm die ze voelt wanneer ze creëert, afwisselend onrustig en kalm, zoals de golf die zich vormt en de zee die opkomt voordat ze zich terugtrekt. Dopo il successo mondiale di One Song, presentato a La Criée nell'ambito di Actoral 2022, Miet Warlop torna con una nuova creazione inclassificabile. Sul palco, enormi pezzi di tessuto guidati dai performer si arrotolano, si srotolano e si sfiorano l'un l'altro, scolpendo apparentemente lo spazio vuoto del palcoscenico. Per l'artista, questi movimenti sono anche una metafora della tempesta interiore che prova quando crea, alternando agitazione e calma, come l'onda che si forma e il mare che si alza prima di ritirarsi.
