C’est lors d’un voyage en Argentine, sur les terres colorées et arides du nord-ouest argentin, que ce quartette franco-argentin se retrouve pour la première fois. Les musiciens décident d’appeler cette rencontre le Cuarteto Tafí. Depuis ses débuts sur la scène française le groupe a apporté sa touche personnelle et originale à la world music en mêlant du chant en espagnol poétique et engagé, au son de la Méditerranée orientale du bouzouki grec, à la douceur et à la dextérité de la guitare flamenca et aux rythmes envoûtants des percussions afros-latines. It was during a trip to the colorful, arid lands of northwest Argentina that this Franco-Argentine quartet met for the first time. The musicians decided to call this meeting Cuarteto Tafí. Since its beginnings on the French scene, the group has brought its personal and original touch to world music, blending poetic, committed Spanish vocals with the Eastern Mediterranean sound of the Greek bouzouki, the gentleness and dexterity of flamenco guitar and the bewitching rhythms of Afro-Latin percussion. Auf einer Reise nach Argentinien, in die farbenfrohen und kargen Landstriche des argentinischen Nordwestens, trifft sich dieses französisch-argentinische Quartett zum ersten Mal. Die Musiker beschließen, dieses Treffen Cuarteto Tafí zu nennen. Seit ihren Anfängen auf der französischen Bühne hat die Gruppe der Weltmusik ihre persönliche und originelle Note verliehen, indem sie poetischen und engagierten spanischen Gesang mit dem orientalisch-mediterranen Klang der griechischen Bouzouki, der Sanftheit und Geschicklichkeit der Flamencogitarre und den betörenden Rhythmen der afro-lateinamerikanischen Perkussion vermischte. Dit Frans-Argentijnse kwartet ontmoette elkaar voor het eerst tijdens een reis naar het kleurrijke, dorre land van het noordwesten van Argentinië. De muzikanten besloten de ontmoeting Cuarteto Tafí te noemen. Sinds het begin in de Franse scene heeft de groep zijn eigen persoonlijke en originele touch aan de wereldmuziek gegeven, door poëtische en geëngageerde Spaanse zang te vermengen met het Oost-Mediterrane geluid van de Griekse bouzouki, de zachtheid en behendigheid van de flamencogitaar en de betoverende ritmes van Afro-Latijnse percussie. De invloeden zijn talrijk: metal, salsa, flamenco en rock. Uit deze verschillende persoonlijkheden en muzikale geschiedenissen zijn de artiesten erin geslaagd een eenheid te creëren.
