Avec Baroque Playground, quatre musiciens venus d’univers lointains et pourtant étrangement compatibles, rappellent une évidence souvent oubliée : le baroque était une musique libre, inventive, improvisée, bien plus proche du jazz que d’une partition figée. Voix, clavecin, piano et contrebasse se retrouvent ici sur un véritable terrain de jeu où tous les coups sont permis. Rameau groove. Haendel swing. With Baroque Playground, four musicians from distant yet strangely compatible worlds recall an often-forgotten fact: Baroque music was free, inventive and improvisatory, much closer to jazz than to a fixed score. Voices, harpsichord, piano and double bass come together here on a veritable playground where anything goes. Rameau grooves. Handel swing. Mit Baroque Playground erinnern vier Musiker aus weit entfernten und doch seltsam kompatiblen Welten an eine oft vergessene Tatsache: Der Barock war eine freie, erfinderische, improvisierte Musik, die dem Jazz viel näher stand als einer starren Partitur. Stimme, Cembalo, Klavier und Kontrabass finden sich hier auf einem echten Spielfeld wieder, auf dem alle Schläge erlaubt sind. Rameau groovt. Händel swingt.
