Plongez dans un voyage enchanteur à travers le temps et la nature avec l'exposition "Végétales- Voyage dans l'illustration botanique". Située dans le cadre majestueux de l'Abbaye de Graville, cette exposition vous invite à travers de délicats dessins à l'aquarelle à explorer la richesse et la beauté des jardins médiévaux, où chaque plante raconte une histoire. Du 2 avril au 2 novembre, une exposition construite autour de l’illustration botanique, investit les bâtiments conventuels. En partenariat avec la Société nationale d’horticulture, vingt-cinq artistes se réunissent autour d’Ariane Mercier et d’Elisabeth Vitou, pour faire revivre la richesse et la diversité de ces plantes et de ces jardins oubliés. Leurs dessins et aquarelles en raconteront l’histoire et l’évolution, depuis les cultures vivrières du Moyen Âge jusqu’aux collectes, curieuses ou scientifiques, des explorateurs du 16e au 19e siècle. Une centaine d’œuvres : dessins originaux, ouvrages imprimés, herbiers, planches ou modèles pédagogiques incarneront cette foisonnante moisson. Elles transformeront, le temps d’une saison, l’Abbaye de Graville en laboratoire botanique où les plantes, leurs vertus, leur étude, leurs représentations – symbolique, anatomique ou artistique – et leurs amoureux, seront mis à l’honneur.

Set in the majestic setting of Graville Abbey, this exhibition invites you, through delicate watercolor drawings, to explore the richness and beauty of medieval gardens, where each plant tells a story. From April 2 to November 2, an exhibition built around botanical illustration takes over the convent buildings. In partnership with the Société nationale d?horticulture, twenty-five artists have joined forces with Ariane Mercier and Elisabeth Vitou to bring to life the richness and diversity of these forgotten plants and gardens. Their drawings and watercolors will recount their history and evolution, from the food crops of the Middle Ages to the curious or scientific collections of explorers from the 16th to the 19th centuries. Some one hundred works: original drawings, printed works, herbariums, plates and educational models will embody this abundant harvest. For one season, they will transform Graville Abbey into a botanical laboratory where plants, their virtues, their study, their representations – symbolic, anatomical or artistic – and their lovers, will be in the spotlight.

Vom 2. April bis zum 2. November ist in den Klostergebäuden eine Ausstellung zu sehen, die sich um botanische Illustrationen dreht. In Zusammenarbeit mit der Société nationale d'horticulture versammeln sich 25 Künstler um Ariane Mercier und Elisabeth Vitou, um den Reichtum und die Vielfalt dieser vergessenen Pflanzen und Gärten wieder aufleben zu lassen. Ihre Zeichnungen und Aquarelle erzählen die Geschichte und Entwicklung dieser Pflanzen, von den Nahrungsmittelkulturen des Mittelalters bis hin zu den neugierigen oder wissenschaftlichen Sammlungen der Entdecker des 16. bis 19. Jahrhundert. Rund 100 Werke: Originalzeichnungen, Druckwerke, Herbarien, Tafeln oder Lehrmodelle verkörpern diese reiche Ernte. Sie werden die Abtei von Graville eine Saison lang in ein botanisches Labor verwandeln, in dem die Pflanzen, ihre Heilkräfte, ihre Studien, ihre symbolischen, anatomischen oder künstlerischen Darstellungen und ihre Liebhaber im Mittelpunkt stehen.

In het majestueuze decor van de abdij van Graville nodigt deze tentoonstelling je aan de hand van verfijnde aquareltekeningen uit om de rijkdom en schoonheid van middeleeuwse tuinen te ontdekken, waar elke plant een verhaal vertelt. Van 2 april tot 2 november is in de kloostergebouwen een tentoonstelling te zien op basis van botanische illustraties. In samenwerking met de Société nationale d'horticulture hebben vijfentwintig kunstenaars zich rond Ariane Mercier en Elisabeth Vitou verzameld om de rijkdom en diversiteit van deze vergeten planten en tuinen tot leven te brengen. Hun tekeningen en aquarellen vertellen het verhaal van hun geschiedenis en evolutie, van de voedingsgewassen uit de Middeleeuwen tot de curieuze of wetenschappelijke verzamelingen van ontdekkingsreizigers uit de 16e tot de 19e eeuw. Een honderdtal werken – originele tekeningen, gedrukte werken, herbaria, platen en educatieve modellen – zullen deze overvloedige oogst belichamen. Een seizoen lang zullen ze de abdij van Graville omtoveren tot een botanisch laboratorium waar planten, hun deugden, hun studie, hun symbolische, anatomische of artistieke voorstellingen en hun geliefden een ereplaats krijgen.

Del 2 de abril al 2 de noviembre, se podrá visitar en los edificios del monasterio una exposición basada en ilustraciones botánicas. En colaboración con la Société nationale d'horticulture, veinticinco artistas se han reunido en torno a Ariane Mercier y Elisabeth Vitou para dar vida a la riqueza y diversidad de estas plantas y jardines olvidados. Sus dibujos y acuarelas narrarán su historia y evolución, desde los cultivos alimenticios de la Edad Media hasta las colecciones curiosas o científicas de los exploradores de los siglos XVI al XIX. Un centenar de obras -dibujos originales, obras impresas, herbarios, láminas y maquetas didácticas- plasmarán esta abundante cosecha. Durante una temporada, transformarán la abadía de Graville en un laboratorio botánico donde las plantas, sus virtudes, su estudio, sus representaciones -simbólicas, anatómicas o artísticas- y sus amantes, ocuparán un lugar de honor.

Allestita nella maestosa cornice dell'Abbazia di Graville, questa mostra vi invita, attraverso delicati disegni ad acquerello, a esplorare la ricchezza e la bellezza dei giardini medievali, dove ogni pianta racconta una storia. Dal 2 aprile al 2 novembre, una mostra basata su illustrazioni botaniche sarà esposta negli edifici del monastero. In collaborazione con la Société nationale d'horticulture, venticinque artisti si sono riuniti attorno ad Ariane Mercier ed Elisabeth Vitou per far rivivere la ricchezza e la diversità di queste piante e giardini dimenticati. I loro disegni e acquerelli ne racconteranno la storia e l'evoluzione, dalle colture alimentari del Medioevo alle collezioni curiose o scientifiche degli esploratori dal XVI al XIX secolo. Un centinaio di opere – disegni originali, opere a stampa, erbari, tavole e modelli didattici – incarneranno questo abbondante raccolto. Per una stagione, trasformeranno l'Abbazia di Graville in un laboratorio botanico dove le piante, le loro virtù, il loro studio, le loro rappresentazioni – simboliche, anatomiche o artistiche – e i loro amanti, saranno al centro della scena.
