Exposition pour les 40 ans de la centrale – 13-05-2026 – Cattenom

À l’occasion des 40 ans de la centrale EDF de Cattenom, l’association Catonisvilla présentera une exposition photographique retraçant l’histoire du site et les profondes transformations qu’il a connues. À travers une sélection de clichés d’archives et de documents rarement montrés au public, l’exposition invitera les visiteurs à revenir sur la mémoire du lieu avant l’implantation de la centrale, lorsque le secteur accueillait encore le camp militaire de Cattenom. Le public pourra ainsi découvrir (ou redécouvrir) un territoire aujourd’hui méconnu, autrefois marqué par la vie des soldats, les bâtiments d’entraînement et l’activité quotidienne du camp. Les photographies permettront de mieux comprendre l’organisation du site, son rôle stratégique et la présence militaire qui a façonné cette partie de la commune pendant plusieurs décennies. L’exposition mettra également en lumière l’évolution du paysage et les grandes étapes de la construction de la centrale à partir des années 1980 : les premiers terrassements, l’élévation progressive des bâtiments, puis la naissance du site tel qu’on le connaît aujourd’hui. En rassemblant ces différents témoignages visuels, Catonisvilla offrira un regard historique précieux sur un lieu emblématique du territoire et sur son étonnante métamorphose au fil du temps.

To mark the 40th anniversary of the EDF Cattenom power plant, the Catonisvilla association will be presenting a photographic exhibition retracing the history of the site and the profound transformations it has undergone. Through a selection of archive photos and documents rarely shown to the public, the exhibition will invite visitors to revisit the memory of the site before the power plant was built, when the area was still home to the Cattenom military camp. The public will be able to discover (or rediscover) a little-known territory, once marked by the life of the soldiers, the training buildings and the daily activity of the camp. The photographs will provide a better understanding of the organization of the site, its strategic role and the military presence that shaped this part of the commune for several decades. The exhibition will also highlight the evolution of the landscape and the major stages in the construction of the power plant from the 1980s onwards: the first earthworks, the gradual elevation of the buildings, and then the birth of the site as we know it today. By bringing together these different visual testimonies, Catonisvilla will offer a valuable historical perspective on an emblematic site and its astonishing metamorphosis over time.

Anlässlich des 40-jährigen Bestehens des EDF-Kraftwerks in Cattenom präsentiert der Verein Catonisvilla eine Fotoausstellung, die die Geschichte des Standorts und die tiefgreifenden Veränderungen, die er erfahren hat, nachzeichnet. Anhand einer Auswahl von Archivaufnahmen und selten gezeigten Dokumenten lädt die Ausstellung die Besucher dazu ein, die Erinnerung an den Ort vor der Errichtung des Kraftwerks, als das Gebiet noch das Militärlager von Cattenom beherbergte, wieder aufleben zu lassen. Die Besucher können so ein heute wenig bekanntes Gebiet entdecken (oder wiederentdecken), das einst vom Leben der Soldaten, den Übungsgebäuden und den täglichen Aktivitäten des Lagers geprägt war. Die Fotografien vermitteln ein besseres Verständnis der Organisation des Geländes, seiner strategischen Rolle und der militärischen Präsenz, die diesen Teil der Gemeinde über mehrere Jahrzehnte hinweg geprägt hat. Die Ausstellung beleuchtet auch die Entwicklung der Landschaft und die wichtigsten Etappen des Baus des Kraftwerks ab den 1980er Jahren: die ersten Erdarbeiten, die allmähliche Erhöhung der Gebäude und schließlich die Entstehung des Geländes, wie wir es heute kennen. Durch die Zusammenstellung dieser verschiedenen visuellen Zeugnisse wird Catonisvilla einen wertvollen historischen Blick auf einen emblematischen Ort der Region und seine erstaunliche Metamorphose im Laufe der Zeit bieten.

Ter gelegenheid van de 40e verjaardag van de elektriciteitscentrale van Cattenom van EDF presenteert de vereniging Catonisvilla een fototentoonstelling over de geschiedenis van de locatie en de ingrijpende veranderingen die het heeft ondergaan. Aan de hand van een selectie van archieffoto's en documenten die zelden aan het publiek worden getoond, nodigt de tentoonstelling bezoekers uit om terug te keren naar de herinnering van de locatie voordat de centrale werd gebouwd, toen het gebied nog de thuisbasis was van het militaire kamp van Cattenom. Bezoekers zullen een gebied kunnen ontdekken (of herontdekken) dat vandaag weinig bekend is, maar dat ooit werd gekenmerkt door het leven van soldaten, trainingsgebouwen en de dagelijkse activiteiten van het kamp. De foto's geven een beter inzicht in de organisatie van het terrein, de strategische rol en de militaire aanwezigheid die dit deel van de stad decennialang heeft bepaald. De tentoonstelling belicht ook de evolutie van het landschap en de belangrijkste fasen in de bouw van de krachtcentrale vanaf de jaren 1980: de eerste grondwerken, de geleidelijke verhoging van de gebouwen en vervolgens de geboorte van de site zoals we die vandaag kennen. Door deze verschillende visuele getuigenissen samen te brengen, biedt Catonisvilla een waardevol historisch perspectief op een emblematische locatie in de regio en haar verbazingwekkende metamorfose door de tijd heen.

Con motivo del 40º aniversario de la central eléctrica de Cattenom de EDF, la asociación Catonisvilla presenta una exposición fotográfica que recorre la historia del lugar y los profundos cambios que ha experimentado. A través de una selección de fotografías de archivo y documentos raramente mostrados al público, la exposición invitará a los visitantes a revivir la memoria del lugar antes de la construcción de la central, cuando la zona aún albergaba el campamento militar de Cattenom. Los visitantes podrán descubrir (o redescubrir) una zona hoy poco conocida, pero que antaño estuvo marcada por la vida de los soldados, los edificios de entrenamiento y las actividades cotidianas del campamento. Las fotografías permitirán comprender mejor la organización del lugar, su papel estratégico y la presencia militar que marcó esta parte de la ciudad durante varias décadas. La exposición también pondrá de relieve la evolución del paisaje y las grandes etapas de la construcción de la central a partir de los años 80: los primeros movimientos de tierra, el levantamiento progresivo de los edificios y, después, el nacimiento del emplazamiento tal y como lo conocemos hoy. Al reunir estos diferentes testimonios visuales, Catonisvilla ofrecerá una valiosa perspectiva histórica sobre un lugar emblemático de la región y su asombrosa metamorfosis a lo largo del tiempo.

In occasione del 40° anniversario della centrale EDF di Cattenom, l'associazione Catonisvilla presenta una mostra fotografica che ripercorre la storia del sito e i profondi cambiamenti che ha subito. Attraverso una selezione di fotografie d'archivio e documenti raramente esposti al pubblico, la mostra inviterà i visitatori a rivisitare la memoria del sito prima della costruzione della centrale, quando l'area ospitava ancora il campo militare di Cattenom. I visitatori potranno scoprire (o riscoprire) un'area oggi poco conosciuta, ma un tempo segnata dalla vita dei soldati, dagli edifici di addestramento e dalle attività quotidiane del campo. Le fotografie permetteranno di comprendere meglio l'organizzazione del sito, il suo ruolo strategico e la presenza militare che ha caratterizzato questa parte della città per diversi decenni. La mostra metterà inoltre in evidenza l'evoluzione del paesaggio e le principali tappe della costruzione della centrale a partire dagli anni Ottanta: i primi sbancamenti, il progressivo innalzamento degli edifici e poi la nascita del sito come lo conosciamo oggi. Mettendo insieme queste diverse testimonianze visive, Catonisvilla offrirà una preziosa prospettiva storica su un sito emblematico della regione e sulla sua sorprendente metamorfosi nel tempo.
